The beginning of this month I made a mistake in transferring to my high interest account and put in a comma instead of a period. So I do not have to deposit any money there for almost a year but it led me thinking. Soon after it happened, I found that I got a few more bills then expected. There was the new insurance, the food cost more, the water bill came due, the new charges for the warrenty for my WAsher and DRiver became due, and then this girl comes to the do trying to get me to buy some coupons. I budget very closely and yet I had to download some more money out of my emergency fund account to cover things and put it into my household expense account.
So I started to think. If I had not made that error, the new insurance would not have started untl a month later, there would have been a sale on the grocery items I usually get, the warranty for my WAsher and DRiver would not have to be removed, the water bill would have not come until April, and the new hymn books would not have been ready until next month.
So I was wondering if you are a little short and have to budget very tightly, that is the time when all the expenses go up?

It drives me crazy because I like to pay all my bills and credit card statements as soon as possible, but now I am rather nervouse about doing so. I will have to order the printer as soon as I get my next pension check because my son will be coming over to do my income tax and the other printers I have do not work.

It's sort of like Murphy's Law, isn't it?
...or 'when it rains, it pours'.
Good luck with everything and keep Mylotting to make more money.

Do not get much here as I am doing it here for fun. And if I were on the computer all the time, I would really spread out on the rear end It was like that when I was in my twenties, and working in an office on a typewriter. I really gained weight.

Well this month seems to be a short tight month for a lot of people. Somehow I am going to have to get an Emergency fund built up again so that if I am short on cash, etc. like I have been this month, I will not have to worry about things like I have had too now. I think too often we tend to over budget ourselves, etc. and not plan like we should. Often it could be a small thing like this that makes us want to be more cautious as well. Hopefully this will be short lived for you and things can become a little more normal soon as well.

I still call February Auto Insurance month because that is when we got the Auto insurance and it sort of conflicted with my birhtday, so I got the traditional s hope March is a little better. And I hope I can put that money back in my property tax account before I have to pay it.

It does seem to go that way, or when you think your ahead a little bit, something happens and sets you way back again. Our budget is pretty tight, especially since only my husband works. I stay home and care for our son. I really know how things can get botched up easily.

That is what happens. When we first got married, it was when the interest rates were so high so we were not eating healthy, usimg margereine instead of butter, and Kook-aid instead of juice, and we paid the mortgage bi weekly. And now I am conflicted between having so much in my high interest tax free account and having some for emergency. I had to use part of the emergency fund for the basics.

Yes, it always happens that way! I don't dare buy anything I want but don't need because I'll surely need that money within a month and regret trying to be nice to myself. Every time I've bought something nice for myself something has gone wrong that costs about what I spent!

I was talking to my friend the other day about this need and want deal that it depends on who you lived with during your grown up years. For instance my unofficial foster mother grew up during the depression and for her, wants meant anything ot other then substandard living. And I just got over the feel guilty about buying something for myself not that long ago and do not want to go back in that situation again. I mean I would like to take a cruise, get things before I am unable to enjoy them.

I have to get my teeth fixed. I am thinking of getting dental implants but that will cost a lot for each tooth and I still have some of my natural teeth remaining and they are stuck in there that the dentist would need a strong wrench to pull them out. I have two credit card bills, but they are not due yet and I can easily pay them all off. But it seems that when you get short of money, that is when you get all those calls and requests. When I had a lot, like even at Christmas, there was no one knocking on my door or any requests.

It's called Murphy's law! I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who is moving into a retirement home. He talked about tossing a couple of file-brief cases that he didn't think he would need, and then having to go buy two new ones, because he immediately discovered that he needed them after all. The quickest way to discover that you need something is to make it not available.

I figured that mich. Just wondered if anyone had the same problem. I expect to be besieged by lots of people wanting money until I get my pensions, and then they will stop.
