Why I TUNNING my own car!

I see that many peoples are love by tunning.I want to understand what is most important at this technology to apply by own car.Can you tell me something more about this?

I am not a professional and or expert when it comes to cars as all I know to do with them is drive, put petrol/gas and maybe change a tire.
I suppose it would be best for someone like me not to experiment as I have know a few to add anti-freeze to their vehicle and get third degree burns as they had no idea that while it is hot it can back up and burn the person.
Perhaps it would be best to take a mechanic course and or send it to a repair shop as any wrong doings for you later it can become quite expensive.
