I know I told everyone that i had 3 interviews with a bank. I went so far for them to send me. Email saying original your screening didn't match our needs. Sorry for taking up your time on getting to know you ( yeah a month worth of my time) this took a month process from when I apply to my 3 interviews to 2 weeks waiting for a call back. I'm just going to have to go with bank number 2 my second option. As of right now I'm very upset because it doesn't take 2 weeks to contact me and tell me you don't have a job. I am sad because i thought everything went well I guess they found someone else. Really sad I feel like I failed

Firstly I'm so sorry to hear that you did not get the job, I checked on your profile and saw that you are very young and I would like to presume that this is one of the very first times that you have gone job hunting (please correct me if I am wrong)and I'm really sorry that it had to come at a time when most of us are in a depression or a recession. Well anyway from what I know at least in my country, when companies choose potential candidates for a job from so numerous and depending on the position you are applying for, you undergo a series or some kind of process of elimination, so they make you go back once, twice or maybe even thrice to narrow down the choice, nothing we can do about that because we need them more than they need us, to continue so that is the reason why they seem to waste our time, nothing personal but just SOP to them cause we are nothing more than names in their files. Usually at least from where I am telling an applicant that they will just send you and email or a call is a bad sign that you did not qualify but then again it differs cause you might have been placed on floating or reserve status. I advice that you just go on with your job hunting and you will find the right company that has a need for your credentials or talents, good luck and hope you keep us all updated on your progress

Hey louievill, Yeah they told me to wait to see what happens and that the are other interviews going on . I did learn a lot from this interview from them and took time and learn to be very perfessional in the end. I also think that maybe god didn't want me to be there and just patience I pray a lot and ask god in the end let your will be done. He knows my desirers and wants and what i want to happen but in the end he is control so I guess that's where I don't need to be. There is another bank that wants to hire me and I am hope in that everything goes well and she will contact me soon so. Can schedule an interview :) she was a very nice lady and again I will pray on it and if that's where god wants me to be then so be it :) everything happens for a reason. I know I will find a job soon.

I like your attitude about God and trusting him in where he leads us combined with prayer, yes keep it up and I'm sure success is not far behind.

Do not feel like you per se failed my friend as companies are really looking at all options in detail. I applied for a few jobs back in April 2010 and did not get called for interview for one of them until June 2010. I did not simply sit and wait and kept looking either way. So I went on my interview and then was called for a second one a week later after that. Do you know I received a letter in the mail in November 2010, saying they filled the position. I do know what this feeling is like but we must not feel like failures as we do not know what exactly the intentions are when companies do interviews. As I found out later they already had their candidate prior to listing the vacancy. It turns out that they had to follow protocol so they would not look like favoritism. So why interview me twice and take up my time as well as theirs. Who can understand.

Hey hardworkinggurl, Yeah understand thanks for your words it helps believe me. I just think that god didn't want me to work there for a reason I'm just going to keep looking and hope for the best in the end. I myself I just don't understand why waste the time to even interview us many times and just throw us in the trash in the end they ask for resumes and stuff it was like a waste of my time. Maybe they had. Someone in mind and decided with them but had to continue with the rest of us

Wouldn't it been sort of a bit moral to simply say never mind we will not be wasting you time. , who can figure them out. But as you said we dust off and move on, as when one door closes payout the other opens.

I find it ignorant how they say you didn't meet our Original Screening that's like saying I didn't meet the standards from the beginning. So why even give me a interview let alone 3 interviews. just find it very unprofessional and disrespectful I pretty sure this message was forward to everyone that didn't get the job. Very sad . You are right when one door closes another opens.

I'm sorry to hear about this. Just know and believe that when God denies you something, it means He has a better one for you. Good luck to you on your next option.

Hey choybel, Yeah I agree I think God didn't want me to be there and wanted me to test my faith test how much i have in him. I got this far by faith and because they deny me in the end it made me question it but I change my mind because I know im am stronger then that and know that God has something better in mind for me.

Don't feel like you failed. They probably just found someone who was a better match for the position, it does not mean that there is anything wrong with you or that you did something wrong. Just keep on looking and trying and you too will be the perfect match for some job somewhere. Just consider it practice and confidently kep looking.

Hey thedaddym, Thanks yeah I realize i learn a lot from the 3 interviews how believe me felt like they ask me a 100 questions so I know I can answer a question. So yeah I consider it practice and I learn a lot.. I did lose mt faith but I got it back now haha I realize everything happens for a reason and God has something better for me :) so I no longer feel like a failure and more stronger person. Just I thought they shouldn't send a email saying you didn't meet our original screening then why have me go through 3 interviews and a time period of a month to deny me. I guess like you said they found someone better well thought was betterr. Hopefully there is no regrets in the end

dear friend, don't be sad, YOU DID NOT failed at all! You don't even know what has actually happened, but even if they chose another person instead of you it doesn't mean you failed; these are things that happened everyday in every part of the world. Maybe they took so much to tell you this because they had lot of job interviews, and you know what? Maybe they did not choose the best, but simply the one who accepts absurd salary and bad treatment. This is what happens in Italy and happened also to me. I wanted to work for the Wall Street Institute, so I sent them my Curriculum Vitae; after 4 MONTHS they called me saying "We're sorry, you're TOO QUALIFIED!!". I just laughed at them. All you have to do is move on, don't let them take you down. :)

Hey green bunny, Thanks reading this made me feel better because I really feel like I just mess up or wasn't good enough. Right now I'm just going to keep my head up. I'm still a little disappointed and wish that they at least called me told me the real reason why they didn't hire me. I just I'm just going to go to bank number 2 I think she was much nicer. And understand and she really wanted to give me the job. Thanks I guess it's the lost not mines maybe they hire someone they can bully around and just easy to handle because I'm mo of a leader a d rather give orders then take them but I do take orders well and do my job very well. Being over qualified is a great thing to me haha
