I was born and raised in the Highlands, where coffee is grown immense. By mid June to early December 11, people began to irrigate the coffee. Only a few days later, the coffee will start flowering sprout. White flowers will cover the mountains between the green of the leaves with fragrant to the nose tingle. If you have a time to enjoy the scenery, you will never forget. It truly is a masterpiece!

I, like many others here, had no idea that coffee plants even flowered, and flower they do, those plants are so pretty! Explain to me, if you can, what they smell like though. Part of my brain wants to think they would have a sweet, floral smell, but with undertones of wonderful rich coffee, but the other part of me knows taht the smell of coffee is brought about mostly form the roasting/oricessing.

These are beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I'd never really thought about flowering coffee before. How long do the flowers last? What comes next..the beans? I think it would be interesting to learn about coffee cultivation.

Coffee flowers bloom only for about 3-4 days. Then they will result. Berries are green when immature. They turn red when old. And now it's time to harvest. After harvesting, they should be exposed / dry. Then rub off the outer shell to get the workers. Human beans will be roasted and finely powdered coffee say that you still use ...

Dear tkonlinevn! I am really so happy and amazed to see the coffee flowers! Though I am a coffee drinker, I never thought in this direction. This is possibly of the fact that we get ready made coffee powder in the market from which we make coffee to relish it. Yes when I was a kid my neighbours used to get coffee seeds from India Coffee House And They used to roast them black before making them into coffee powder! I recall that the seeds used to be green in color! Now since you have posted your discussion and having seen the photograph , now I am really wondering how I missed to think about the plant and the flowers of this plant! Anyways, thank you very much for providing the information. At Least for me it is a new thing and I really envy that you are living amidst of such a beauty of nature. The flowers are looking really very beautiful and I think the plant itself should be a good looking one with the big leaves as depicted in the photograph! How does this flower has its fragrance, I mean is thee any thing with which the aroma of this flower can be compared with? I think it must not be having the flavour of coffee as the seeds get his aroma or flavour only after we bake them! How long these flowers will stay on the plants before they before they turn into a fruit! How does a fruit look like? Are they round or they are like beans?I am really curious to know about it! I can imagine the mountains covered with the bloom of coffee flowers! The mountains must be looking like mountains covered with snow. What is the climate at this time Do you have sunshine during this period or is it cloudy? Do you have honey cultivated from these flowers with the help of honey bees? If yes, then this honey must be having altogether different taste than the normally available honey! I am going to have details about this plant once I finish with this post of mine as I am really curious to know the details about this plant, which I have surprisingly missed so far in my life! Thanks a lot for the information! Hope to listen from you regarding the queries I have regarding this plant! All the best!

Hi AKRao, he fact that not many people who drink coffee know about coffee. I was very surprised when a friend asked my coffee trees or vines? hihi. You can see a lot of information about coffee on the Internet. I'm just lucky to witness a different beauty of this plant. That's when they bloom. In my hometown, it is common for coffee bee on a flower and of course honey and pollen are very tasty.
