Last year, when the two went head to head, there was talk about two of the most exciting teams going head to head. But what transpired was a lesson from Barca to Arsenal on how to play the beautiful game effectively. It was really the men vs. boys stuff. What will be the story this time around? What are your predictions? Cheers! Ram

Arsenal are a better team this season and are also physically stronger. Still, Barca will win this one because they have got more experienced players and quality players like Messi, Xavi, Villa, Iniesta. Arsenal will put on a fight but will not be able to win this game.

I couldn't agree more with you...Arsenal players still need time to mature, and playing against the best team in the world in such an early age and stage is an honour, but they will not go through as the experience beats all odds...

I need the backstory. Who were the boys? Arsenal? Is Barcelona The same powerhouse? Are there the same players at Arsenal? If the answer is yes to most of these, I see Arsenal Wanting to pay back Barcelona but Can they? If they were Really embarrassed , then there is hope. They can use it to play their best and beat them 3-1.

Last time around, Barcelona taught a lesson to the Arsenal boys on how to play the attractive game effectively. It was a masterclass performance from Barcelona and a valuable lesson for Arsenal. Let's hope Arsenal did learn the lessons!! Cheers! Ram

Well, I'm a bit late with this response, so I'll just say what I'm hoping will happen in the second leg. Being a Barcelona fan, I was really upset on how they lost the first leg. It looked as they were shell-shocked after the Arsenal equalizer. More than that, it troubled me that during the second half they laid low, considering one goal is enough, and not performing as good as in the first half... I hope they get back on the tracks and win the second leg. Not by 5 goals, not by 4, but by a reassuring 2-goal difference.

Don't worry about being a bit late. I know it takes some time to get over such a defeat as a fan. :) Being an Arsenal fan, I can rub it now when the going is good. Who knows in the return leg Arsenal might get a thrashing and will not have much to cheer about. But for now, Arsenal are ahead, just a bit. Cheers! Ram

If I remember right it was 2-2 last year on Emirates stadium. This match is pretty difficult to predict, because everything can happen in Champions League. I have heard something about, that more of Arsenal's key players will not play. If it's true, it will be 90 hard minutes for Arsenal, and Arsenal's defence doesn't look strong at the moment. Arsenal attack looks strong at the moment, and they score many goals, but Barcelona's defence is probably the best in the world. I don't think Barca draw against Gijon will have any affect on this match. I think Barcelona win this match with 3-1 or 3-2.

I reckon Barcelona will take the spoils against Arsenal they clearly have an all round better team and have a lot of strength in depth. Not only that their players are all players who usually play a key part in the bigger games which essentially this fixture is. two one in favour of Barcelona for me.

As long as it's an entertaining game I'm not too bothered about the final result I'm hoping for a goal feast but highly doubt it will live up to the expectations of the two teams reputations.

I'm an Arsenal fan but I think Barcelona will take it. Arsenal may surprise but they should focus on the Carling/ FA Cup and the premier league. We're still the only team that can take all four but two, Premier League, should be ours. I will still support them whether they win or loose. Have a great day

I think the key to Arsenal's chances might be Theo Walcott and Arsenal will hope that he has his radar pointing correctly unlike over the weekend. Cheers! Ram

If Arsenal has a good they, thay can make a draw, but it looks very difficult. I think Barcelona will revenge their draw last week against Gijon.

Hi ram, I think this season games between Arsenal and Barcelona would be the same with last year. Barcelona still has a superior team from goalkeeper to forwards. With a pair of safe hand, Victor Valdes would Barcelona also keep his position between the goal post while Arsenal would keep their faith in the hand of Wojciech Szczesny, a new player for such important game in an important competition. There is nothing much separate between Barcalona and Arsenal defense but Barcelona would bombard Arsenal defense with their "cannon" from midfielders and forwards. Barcelona also keep most of their entire team for a few season already and they really knew each other game. This would keep their game move smoothly. While Arsenal would introduce a few new players from last season team especially at their back. I would go for Barcelona to win this tie. It would be four nil or four one from both games.

I think at the goalkeeper level Barcelona wins hands down. At the midfield both teams have a good midfielders, but Messi brings in the X factor for Barcelona. Down the flanks though Walcott brings in the X factor for Arsenal. Both defenses are bit susceptible though the Barcelona defense is bit more compact under pressure than the Arsene Wenger's boys. Cheers! Ram

Actually i donno much more about soccor, Can you explain to me about these teams, who will play good, who will have a chance to win? (FRIENDS ANY ONE OF YOU CAN EXPLAIN TO ME PLEASE) Because i am an indian. And i am strongly believing that, soccor is a game where all the players must be in a attension, with full pressue(with bee sounds..hahaha). Who will overcome the mental stress with team co-ordination they should win.

If you don't know much about soccer and want to know about it. This is the match that you should watch. These are the two teams that like to play attractive football and do not go for winning at all costs. Barcelona are the favorites currently. Cheers! Ram

I think that the results will be almost the same this year as well. I believe that it will end a 1-1 or 2-2 draw at Emirates and 4-1 or 4-2 at Camp Nou.This if both teams will have the best 11 on the pitch. If some key players will be injured till the games, then it will be different.

I have always believe that a football team needs balance in all positions, and from my observation in the recent years, Barcelona is the likeliest of teams to achieve such a balance...They have Puyol, one of the best back in the world, and also the spine of the team...Not to forget Iniesta and Xavi at the midfield, and then Messi, the best player in the world...Arsenal will fight, but will never stand a chance against the gods in football...2-0 for Barcelona...

I completely agree with your assessment. The one weak point though is that Puyol is getting slower every year and Arsenal have Theo Walcott to unleash from the beginning. He did play a havoc in the first leg of last year's match. I expect him to do likewise this year as well. Cheers! Ram
