No Wonder No WMD in Iraq

This movie that seeks to explain why there is no uranium enriching programme in Iraq when it was carpet bombed by President George Bush is quite an interesting movie. It gives you an insight into the workings of the CIA in hot spots of the world such as Niger, Iraq and the middle-east. Naomi Watts gives a strong performance here as the CIA operative that was exposed by loose canons within the CIA and Sean Penn played the ex-Ambassador that refused to give in to the whims of the White House with the likes of Karl Rove and his henchmen. This is based on a true story and it shows that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great insights into how the third world get swallowed in the mind games of the big powers such as the USA and the UK.

I watched this movie a few days ago. The freedom of public speech and the opening of the democracy impressed me mostly. I believe there are power corrupts in a lot of place, but it's not easy to see the 'fair game' happened under the power corrupt. It's the power of system.

Sometimes, I feel that might does not get its way in developed nations. That this thing has come to light in spite of evil forces at work is testimony that justice will prevail even though victims have to pay a price for it. This will definitely not happen in a third world nation where the righteous may just be quashed like bugs!
