How do you deal with the deepest sadness and how do you help to cheer others who are going through a sadness that is unthinkable?

Different people will have different ways of managing sadness, I would say. One good way is "meditation". That keeps the mind cool and calm, and thus reduces the feeling of sadness. As one continues on meditating, the feeling of sadness may cease totally.

Everyone gets depressed or has been depressed. Depression that lasts and never goes away needs to be treated by a physician, so I wouldn't be of any help to that person...all I would do is suggest they see a Dr. If my friend is feeling down, and in the blues, I would ask if they wanted to go do something...get outdoors, go for a walk, smell some flowers, just doing something with them that they enjoy and puts them in a good mood.

this one is so hard to answer specially when your the one experiencing this dilemma. But when I was into it the first thing I did is to cry whith all i can, and thank God For everything that happen for His good purposed for me and second is to be talkative and willing to listen the others sadness. and in the long run I recover.

I think it is a question without an answer. Each person has his own way of dealing (or not being able to deal) with sadness. I have not dealed completly with the pain of the loss of some of my loved ones. It is not depression, pills don´t help. Mostly you learn to live with it, but it doesn´t go away.

Prayer can answer everything and relieve you from sadness, if you have faith and believe.

I think that dealing with sadness starts with acceptance that life is not a "bed of roses" all the time. There will be trials and disappointments along the way for most people, which is part of reality, but if we have a strong faith in God then we can find comfort even through the deepest sadness. As to cheering others when they are going through sad times, I believe it's best to listen and just be there for them as a reliable friend. Also, try to point out the positive things about them or their situation.
