What are your thoughts on Twitter?

So I'm on Twiter but I don't use it much. I've gotten hundreds of followers through Social Networks but I don't find the need to constantly update people on things throughout my day like so many people do today.
I have used the site to promote things I'm looking to drive traffic to but other than that, I don't see the purpose of it. Are people really interested in knowing what people are doing at all times? Or am I missing the point?
What do you use Twitter for or do you at all?

I have a twitter account but I don't post updates. I just don't find so much sense in telling people what you do every minute or every second of the day. In my twitter account, I follow news personalities so that I get updates on the latest news and happenings. Recently, I'm using twitter for online jobs which require retweeting posts from other twitter users or blogs or websites.

I use Twitter to connect w/ friends, but I find it as a good search engine too. It might not give you the exact meaning of things but it gives you real time feedback about things provided by fellow Twitter users by checking different hashtags. You can also follow your favorite news or other companies for latest updates :)

not really interested in what people are doing at all times i use twitter to promote my website and other social sites of mine but its not working out so much i think its a waste of time for me i might delete it i dont even know how to use it properly much i just log in,post and leave xD

personally my thoughts about twitter is like its the same as orkut/facebook/myspace/ and ect.. you know i think they all work they same way. lol.,
well thats just my opinion., i dont like having so many social accounts, but some people do. and thats cool too

you know personally i think twitter is like facebook, myspace, orkut, and ect... there all practially the same thing. in dont understand why eevryone has to have everything when there all the same...

Twitter is like a blog but limits how many characters that you can type. Its a great service for a company,website or to a public figure to share information.

I have never used twitter because I don't feel the need to 'inform' everyone of what I am doing every minute of the day. I have facebook to keep in touch with friends and family, and I might put it on there if there is something big going on that day or something coming up. I never have figured out why people twitter. Do their friends and family really care what they are doing every minute?

I have heard of twiter and I know it is been around for a little while. I have seen twiter feeds on websites and take to the time to read them. However I do not have twitter and I don't know how it works or how to even get on it. Do I need a mobile device like a cell phone or what. as for me, I realy do not care for it I don't even have a need for it.

i signed up on twitter a uear ago. though i dont find it entertaining and so I abandoned my account. never once posted a tweet. i find it boring for me. my only social networking site is facebook. i get to connect with friends and chat with them, play games too when i get bored.

i have an account on twitter but i do not use it so much i like to use face-book.i think most of the Indian people like to use twitter.they do not like to use face-book.i really do not know how it is use for earning.i am new in that site.

I use twitter and all but I never found it to be fancy or anything. I end up forgetting to log on Twitter. I really do not see the point about it or the big hype about it though.

I have a twitter account but I haven't used it too much so far.I signed up on twitter because I wanted to fulfill a task on a microjob site and generally I use itwhenever I find another job that requires me to tweet a site or blog.I only use it to say something about myself and my activities if there's something really interesting I have done,and that's all.

Frankly I do not know if twitter works well. I just got myself an account to link to Triond which automatically send tweets whenever one of my articles got posted. I don't have many followers, so I wonder if it is generating any readership.
But since I don't have to do anything in order to tweet, I just let it be. It's so nice of Triond to provide the auto-tweet feature.

I do not like twitter. I don't think everyone needs to know when I am eating just like I wouldn't care if someone cared. I rather just text my friends when I need to talk to them.
