As my friends know, my mom used to live at a place named Westminster Manor in Austin Texas. I used to go over at LEAST every week and visit with her, take her to Great Courses and other activities. But the last year mom hasn't been able to get away from the health care center, and the Great Courses was at the same time as they feed them lunch in the health care center. So, on Wednesdays I would go visit with mom, take her to lunch and go to Great Courses and after it was over, make sure mom was settled before going back to work. Well, after mom died in November, I changed my hours so I work 5 hours every weekday. This meant, that when Great Courses started again after the first of the year, I wasn't going anymore. And honestly, I didn't need to go over like I did before. However, Maggiepie was in the hospital for the last few days and I had gone by the Manor on Monday and seen some of my friends - mom's friends? I told them that if "my client" was still in the hospital on Wednesday I would be back for Well, she was, I did and I got to see a LOT of my old friends! I sure had missed them. And, I've barely crafted since mom died because I had at LEAST an hour a week at the Manor to do it. So, I had a good morning, even tho I woke up late, I made it to the show on time! And after I picked up Maggie, I had her call Girling and they said I could work my whole 5 hours if I wanted to (I did) - tho I actually made her "eat" the hour I did on Monday where I got her apartment cleaned up from the weekend, made sure the place was locked up, took out the trash, washed the dishes. So, I'm back on schedule now (going to make up another hour before the end of the week) but that's no big deal. Still, I got to see a lot of mom's friends and my friends and just really had a very nice morning. How was your day? (Anything was better than yesterday with the horrid headache I had!)

Ok, spill... You can't just say Maggie was in the hospital and not tell us why... we get worried.

Wow!! This sounds like something you should continue doing as much as you can even with your Mom being gone, as it sounds like something you and the other people there enjoy. I know sometimes we get in a routine of doing things and then things happen and so we forget about the other and end up getting stressed and frustrated as well. Glad that you have a caring understanding Boss with your work situation as well. Besides having the Migraine the last couple of days, things have been not too bad. Looking forward to getting back to work myself.

That sounds lovely! Yesterday we were getting ready for the computer repair guy to come today. The other roomie had cleaned the kitchen, hall and roomie's bedroom so they'd be clean, but then I spilled water all over the kitchen, so the floor was really dirty with foot prints, besides a bit of cat mess. I got home from work, changed the cat boxes, then took the roomie to the doc. When we got back, we ate, then I loaded the dishwasher, and then took the swifter and did the kitchen floor. Then this morning, when Booboo threw up in the hall - AFTER he scratched my leg when I tried to get him out of my bed before he threw up (that was successful anyway). I took another swifter, and cleaned up the puddle I made washing my leg, then cleaned up the spot in the hall and finally the spot where a cat missed the litter box (I had already picked up the poo.) But, because the litter was already changed, all I had to do today is empty a few bins of trash and take the bucket down to the street for the trash.

It sounds like you had a really pleasant day. It is good that you have been able to change your work hours to suit. I am still trying to catch up on my four hundred emails to no avail LOL! We were approached by a property investment agency in regards to buying an investment property. We told them we don’t have the money for such a venture and they claim they can make it happen for us; something about an equity loan. I’m sceptical and I will be doing a lot of research on this one, I’m not sure I want another mortgage...Anyway nothing new and exciting aside from that...Take care...

They are funny about things like that. If I were doing the call in thing like they had started us and I had to go off because Maggie was on the phone sometimes when I either came or left, so we went back to paper time sheets. I can understand WHY they went to the phone thing, but I'm not like some of those slackers who would CLAIM to be there and leave their client laying on the floor because they never even went to work.

Glad that you took time to go see your friends at the nursing home. They always appreciate visitors, and some get few or none at all. I had a pretty good day. Worked in the yard after a trip to Lowes. At noon, I went to the Senior Citizen's center for a lunch of fajitas, Spanish rice and pinto beans. Met a lady there that I had not seen in several years. She used to work in the fabric department back when we had a Winns store. She must be in her 9os but looked good. I told her that her daughter must be taking very good care of her.

You day has ben alot better then my! My bad day started on Wednesday. Had a 6 month dental cleaning. A cavity was discovered and need another crown put on a back tooth! This one will make 6! Everything went well until I drove home. My car would not start and had the colleges security jump start my car. Then I am on my way home the stupid car stalls after a make a turn! It did restart but when I got to Walmart and tried to leave,it stalled again! Could not restart it this time! Called a friend up when I first thought my car wasn't going to start. He told me to call if the car gave me more problems and I needed a ride home. When I got stranded at the North Walmart,I tried to get hold of my friend Chris. I tried like 3 times and got his voice mail! Later on Facebook he said he never got my messages! I was not happy and tried to get hold of other friends and had no luck! I ended up calling a cab and got home that way! I was not happy! Today I had the garage I usually take my car to be fixed to get it and fix it. They have and another $207.00 down the drain and I forget to ask what the problem was in the first place! I will get the car tomorrow. then I will find out the what the problem was! Good news was,I filed my taxes on line with the help of Turbo Tax! I'm going to get some nice refunds!

That's good news about the taxes. I haven't heard from my brother yet... he's bad about postponing dealing with ours, and the roomie ALWAYS gets great refunds so she wants her money and she wants it NOW!
