Some of you know that my grandmom has been in an assisted living facility for the past 4 years. Well the last few months she was in and out of the hospital and recently things got really bad and she was put on hospice. Yesterday morning she passed away. Even though we were prepared for her passing it's still hard to deal with. She was 95 years old.

I sorry my friend. May her sole rest in piece. I lost my grandpa also 2years back. Grandparents are the gift of god for us, we learn many things from them. They our friends, they are our strength, they are our inspiration. The times spending with them are always stays in our heart.

I am so sorry to hear that your grandmother passed away. But at 95, you got to know her as an adult and not just when you were a child. I wish I could've known ANY of my grandparents as an adult - like I got to know my mom as an adult.

Hello Shar. It is understandable for anyone to deal with the loss of a loved one in the family, but I am sure that your Grandma must have enjoyed her longevity. My father is 85 years old and is still in good health enjoying his life. To enjoy longevity is a most pleasant thing for us. Take care, my dear friend.

We're never prepared to lose someone we love, no matter how hard we try. At least she had a loving family.

It really is hard even though we were somewhat prepared. It is still sad. I'm blessed to have had her in my life.

So sorry to hear that. My grandfather was 89 when he passed away, and the situation was the same. Just because it was expected didn't make it any easier.

You're right. It was hard because we had to see her suffering the last couple of weeks. At least she is in peace now.

Shar, my deepest condolences. You were lucky though that you had her for 95 years. For me, there's really no easy way to say goodbye to any of our loved ones. May she rest in Peace.

I'm so sorry to hear that your grandmother has passed away. I don't think that there is any amount of time that we can be given in our lives to prepare for the loss of a loved one and actually be able to go on as normal after that. However, you are very lucky that you did have the opportunity to share as many years of your life with her as you were able to. Through the time of grief, you should definitely focus on the good times that you shared. ((Hugs))

Shar my true and sincerest humble condolences. I am so sorry for your loss. Although she has lived a life time and was blessed with 95 full years it will be a great loss to you as I can understand the love and not being able to see her any longer. Keep her wonderful memory alive and continue to share her wonderful stories about her wonderful life and this will make your heart even more fonder. Be blessed and am truly sorry for you loss.
