learning new things

First of all Warm Welcome dear Sunial to the great forum Mylot! Yes, Learning is itself is an interesting thing! It is natural for any living beings to learn the things. Right from our birth till today we might have learnt thousands and lakhs of things. As an infant we learnt to recognize our mother first, then our near and dear ones, we then learnt how to talk, how to walk and how to speak etc. Basically we are learners every time in our life and we will remain the same till we die! Each day we get to learn some thing or other, the only thing what we need is concentration and careful attention! Osho in one of his lectures in Boredom says, people say that they are getting bored with the same place and same environment, but they are forgetting that the environment in which they are living today is the new one than what it was yesterday! To demonstrate an example h says the trees have come up with new leaves and new flowers. Today we have different birds around us, but because we are not paying attention to these things we are having a feeling that there is is no change in the environment! Similarly if we pay attention carefully there are many things around us happening regularly which can teach us a lot. Every experience of the life is new one and from each experience we can learn a lesson. If we think carefully just before going to bed that what we have learnt today, I am sure every day we will have many a list of things to jot down that what we have learnt. Thus I too agree with you that learning new things is an interesting one and for that together with good listener, you need to be good observer, good thinker and most of all you should have the real zeal for learning! I love to learn new things. Its very thrilling and it brings color to a colorless life. I love to learn things so I can share what I have learned with other people. The way I look at it I translate material so people who don't like to read and learn or who are to lazy to read and learn will have some kind of knowledge about a situation or topic from me. I don't mind. I don't like having ignorant friends who think that I'm too nerdy because of my interest. I take everything that I learn and have learned and invest it into my children. I constantly tell them how important it is to learn. My daughter was watching cartoons one Saturday morning and she said "I want magic" I told her "Baby you do have magic its your brain and you can keep adding as many ingredients you want to you brew." She didn't quite understand at that time but the older she got the more she understands. Especially since I taught her to multiply and write in cursive before she entered the 3rd grade on top of that she got promoted to 3rd grade reading when she was in the 2nd grade so on and so forth. When I graduated from high school in 2003 I had 1450/1600 on my SAT scores and I graduated with a 4.5 GPA. Despite not being able to go to college immediately after high school I still read and researched. Asked questions and got into any little training classes I could. I taught my self how to do graphic designs and build web pages which isn't easy because the codes you use to format the page is like a foreign language. I am in college now and I love setting the example for my children to do the right thing when it comes to learning.K.I.K Knowledge Is Key!!!

yes i agree with you too. learning new things is quite very interesting. it can be a hobby too! it is through it that one gains power because we tend to earn unlimited knowledge to things, thus we know a lot more things and we become superior. i also like learning new things because i expose myself to the world!
