Why I use Blogspot/Blogger.com instead of other Blog sites

Simplicity makes it for me. I can do whatever I want with my blog using this medium. Although there are few people who uses other blog sites, for me this is already my home blog. I don't want to use another as this is the best for me so far.
I'm still in the process of putting all of the things that I have in mind on my blog site and hopefully I can make it as informative as possible.

I have adapted to Blogger, and have customized my blogs, due to the many "tips and tricks" tutorials on the internet. But I learnt to streamline the layout, without excessive customization, as it can slow loading times with too many gadgets.

I would use blogspot as well if i were to start a blog because it's simple, and it's most commonly use among bloggers. Though there are some other choices out there, i won't go for them as i'm not familiar with them. However, that does not mean i won't be looking out for alternatives. WHo knows one day when i've explored enough, i might make a switch?

To each his own, of course. Everybody has their own reasons for using a particular blog platform. I've used a lot of them over the years. Some were better than others, and a lot have just disappeared or gone from free to pay model. I've blogged on Blogspot, but got tired of its unreliability. They've added a lot of nice new features over the last year or so, but the site is often slow, and once in a while things get screwed up while I'm writing a post.
Right now, I'm using wordpress.com and Live Journal. I've been on Live Journal for a long time and like it for its community features. My main blogs are on Wordpress, which has also added community features so that it's very easy to keep up with other bloggers.
