After the Egyptian protest had won their battle to overthrown the president who has been power for 30 years, the chain reaction start up all over middle east and Africa one by one as well.Iran , Brarain, Lybia, etc. It seems to be an internal battle for power within the Islamic world is going on. Both Sunnies and Shittes seems to having a battle between themselves.Who is going to win at the end of this protest movement? It would be something that we can share in mylot. (This peaceful platform).Share about your opinion ?

It's very phenomenal that the peaceful protests are being used by citizens to fight for their rights. Our country did the same in 1986 because we were under dictator rule for 20 years, and we succeeded. It's good that people are getting empowered and try to resolve conflicts in a peaceful (hopefully) manner. I don't know which are the different sides but I wish that whatever they are fighting about, justice will prevail.

I hope that people who are fighting for democrazy can have a better understanding of the term before they act up.There are fo sure some political party who is trying to make use of this term to motivate the people to make benefit for the polictal party or power behind the protest. One thing for sure id that there are many people who don't like the present government of their countries and would like to see some change as soon as possible. The onky thing that I am worrying about is that there are some kinds of ambitious leader whose risking the life of others in order to acheive their own ambition. These people may not really wnat to serve the people but just want to be in the new position of leadership. Well, I think there will be many things happen in the world within this year all over the world. Middle East may only be a starting point and the chain reaction may continue as the time goes by. I have just heard that from the news today that some people is using the internet and try to call for people to join a peaceful protest in China starting from next week.Nobody wn=ants the communist government to be in power anymore and that's for sure. But the communist government had her history to stop the 1989 protest by using military forces before. Mnay people had been killed and wounded. I hope that it won't be like what happen before and the protest can acheive its result.Let's see what will happen then.Have a good day.

We can only hope that democracy will prevail in the mid east. I for one am watching and wondering.
I can't help but think of the little old lady in Egypt, I believe she was English, there to study archeology on her own money. She was interviewed by phone on one of the news channels and voiced fear of the violence going on under her window. I wasn't able to hear the outcome of her plight, there all alone with no protection. But I felt her fear as she spoke. I wish the Egyptians well. I have many online friends in Egypt. I just wonder if violence in the streets is the way to true democracy. Then again, I haven't lived under a dictator either. So, I will sit back and wait to see how they manage this new thing, democracy.

It just isn't happening onver seas. It is also happening in my state of Wisconsin! With Wisconsin and are new govenor things have become a be mess! Demorcates and prepulicians are not united. The new govenor Scott Walker wants to cut money out of programs that most people do not want to see! Like in education which always seems to be first to be a victim in cuts! To many cuts have been done allready and it affects are children's education allready! The more it happens the more less educated children we have!
With the union thing I am not quite sure all about that except it is turning into a mess, too! Things probaly will get worse before they get better! The world has gone mad I tell you! GR!

Yes, this may mean that people will really react if their brim of tolerance is full.
We all know that Middle east leadership was past on from the grandparents to the son to the grandchild and so on. It is a sort of political dynasty.
People when they are fed up may react.
Egyptians had started it and were successful.
Other people from Middle East see the possibility that they too can do the same thus they do it too.

I don't think that the desire that these people have for a true democracy has to be as violent as it has turned out to be. However, I think that the revolution that is happening in all of these Islamic countries is something that needs to be done so that all people are able to have the rights that many of us are used to having. People should always be allowed to be treated like people and like equals and there are many times when this is not the case.

I think people want to improve their country that's why they have protests. The only way they can have peace in their country is to have a protest. It also means that the mass is being oppressed by the ones sitting on top of the food chain because they simply have the power to do it.

It's not my business, so I'm not on any side.If they think that to create a working democracy takes like two or three weeks, they will be highly disappointed. It takes ages. So, it's just a little step for them which is better than nothing.

I see some people hate President Obama no matter what he does. For example, some think he's a Muslim. So when he asked the president of Egypt to step down so his citizens can have "Democracy", then they say that he is stabbing his Muslim friends in the back and that it helps countries like Iran in their hatred for Israel. Whoa. Iran's citizens want "Democracy" too. It is good that all of these countries' citizens want Democracy. But those who hate President Obama will not give him credit for giving encouragement to people of other countries who want Democracy instead of dictators.
