Throwing away my own creations

I often write lyrics, poems or short stories or sketch , but after my creations are finished i am never really satisfied with them and think about how pityful or stupid they are, so i rip them apart and throw them in the bin. Sometimes i regret it a little bit, but mostly i don't.
Do you think my behaviour is wrong?(I actually do)
And is this a habit that many of you do aswell?
