I hate being alone, it drives me crazy, i often do things that are nonsense and sometimes go somwhere just to beat being alone and with nothing to do. But Charles Ringma on his book said that we need to alone and be still. Its something that cannot be removed from our sinful nature, its to create a necessary space to meet God. www.zelmarqs.blogspot.com

Many people can be alone but they don't feel lonely; many can be in a crowd yet at the same time feel very much alone, i.e lonelyWhen Ps.46:10 was quoted "Be still, and know that I am God......" it general speaks of those who are super busy & have no time to quiet themselves down to hear the voice of God / no devotion time

You're welcome. For man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God; For in Him we live and move and have our being; For apart from Him, we can do nothing.

It also gives Him an opportunity to speak to us, if we are still and listen..

I enjoy being alone for the most part. I like to be with my own thoughts, and I like to be able to do things when and how I want to. When I want to stop and pray, I can, without having to finish a meal for someone else first, or without having to go into another room for some quiet. When I want to take a nap, I can, without being disturbed. I think the quiet times are a lot more conducive to hearing from God, but of course, we need a balance.

Hi. Zelmarq. I love being alone at times. It makes me feel really good. I am able to relax and be to myself. I don't have anyone around me that will bother me, talk to me, get on my nerves, interrupt me, need me to do something for them, I can just be all alone. I love the peacefulness it gives me some "me" time.

I don't hate being alone and I have more moments being alone. I sleep alone, I eat alone most days especially breakfast and dinner. I live alone in a small space enough for being alone. Sometimes I go out just by myself, walk around town and come back with nothing and it's not nonsense, it's one way of beating out the stress experienced by day to day of being in a crowd. And I have learned not be lonely by being alone.

Oh yes if there's one simple person that can agree with you, it is me. (^_^) I think sometimes we are put in that situation wherein we have to be alone for a long time or it seems it's gonna be forever. I have come to realize that I became more dependent on God, when there's nobody near me in my hard times. Everything happens for a reason, even being alone has a significance in itself and we just have to make use of the best of it. At least, being alone and peaceful is really a blessing that being with a noisy and violent crowd. (^_^)

I agree that there are times when we really need to be alone and be "far from the madding crowd." I don't mind being alone. It is the only time where I can do what I want to do...even doing nothing, a break from the 8 to 5 routine plus the incessant voices you hear around you at home. We are constantly on the move. Sometimes, it helps to stop the clock at one point and dip from deep within us. Have a nice day, Zelmarq.
