That's the first I've ever heard that! Very interesting! Maybe we should all create new words! (Kidding, there's maybe too many already!)

Hello, snm7520.Shakespeare was said to have a vocabulary of around 21,000 words, many of which he invented. Not bad for someone who left school at the age of 13 and whose parents were both illiterate. As to other writers who invented words, J. M. Barrie coined the girl's name 'Wendy' in 'Peter Pan,' Jane Austen first came up with the phrase 'dinner party,' Vladimir Nabokov first used 'nymphet' in 'Lolita.' John Milton came up with 'pandemonium' in 'Paradise lost,' Horace Walpole first used 'serendipity' in a letter in 1754,while Chaucer was the first author to use the word 'accident.' Shakespeare and Chaucer have brought more words into the English language than any other authors. See a list of the words they coined here: : http://www.firstthings.com/blogs/firstthoughts/2010/12/10/literary-smackdown-chaucer-vs-shakespeare/ :
