Aches and Pains

Have you ever had a piece of equipment like a TV or a cellphone or a battery that you know is on its last legs but you still use it because you can't really afford to replace it? That's how I feel right now. I have a splitting headache for two days now and when I checked my blood pressure a while ago, it was high. My body is beginning to show signs of wear and tear over years of abuse of not getting enough rest, poor diet (that consisted mainly of burgers, french fries and pizza) and stress. I recall an overhead projector we used recently and it had a warning signal every time we turned it on saying: "This projector is approaching the end of its useful life." How appropriate. I know I'm not that young. I'm not that old too (I'm not being wheeled around yet). I hope my blood pressure goes down tomorrow after I get some sleep. Anyone else out here who feels that they are getting old?

Oh I sort of forgo buying a new ink cartridge for my printer even though it sort of says that there's no more ink, I tried printing and it can still print black and white, so guess it's the colored one that's having problems. I'm sort of procrastinating buying a new cartridge or having it refilled even though I know it could dry up and and damage it permanently so it can't be refilled anymore, just don't fill like doing it right now. Yeah I also have not deleted pictures in my digicam although it is already quite full already and had transfered the pictures and videos already to my pc, still have not read the manual LOL.

Oh yes, no pains yet, just a little back pain from an inborn or congenital scoliosis

I must say that you are not alone. My chronological age indicates that indeed I'm growing old, but I'm not really bothered by the number. What has struck me most is the feeling of being so tired and burned out. I have been working hard for a lot of years now. During the early years of my career, I was so engrossed and enthusiastic. I didn't mind working 12 or more hours a day. I felt like I was even enjoying it. Recently, however, I felt like having a crisis. Certain changes have happened in my life that left me feeling as if I were in the dark. I began to lose the enthusiasm that I used to have. I feel like all the hard work are coming back now in the form of stress and fatigue.

Sometimes I think there should be a WARNING button on people especially when they are tending to overdo it with things and needing some Sleep, to see a Doctor, etc. I know there are times when I feel like this and usually end up breaking down and crying or sleeping for like 12-14 hrs. from exhaustion as well. Anymore with the Economy, etc. Stress can be a huge factor for Health and learning how to deal with it in the Best way is a big thing for sure.

yes, it is not only feeling but really a reality. When i was younger, I do not suffer from any pains whatsoever. I had children, it is the same. However, when my last child aged 5 years old, the sign of aging showed. I can no longer wash our clothes well. I mean, the usual strength is not there anymore. Now I suffer from back aches, headaches, and others body pains. How I wish I could bring back the usual me! ! !

From that day i m sleeping in time. But ealier that day, i had suffered with head ache and with other health problems.

Oh I know exactly what you're saying! lol. I'm not THAT old, but there are days that I feel 190. I back hurts ALL the time, my feet and legs swell if I'm on them for any length of time. If I sit too long, it takes me a minute to get everything in working order to walk across the room. It seems that me and old Arthur (Arthur Itis) are on a first name basis. I don't have any way to check my blood pressure, but I'm sure that it runs on the high side...sometimes it feels like my heart is trying to pound its way through my chest. But it's the only body I've got. Can't trade it in for a new one, sure I MIGHT be able to get replacement parts for it, just not ready to trade these parts in yet...they still have a few "miles" on 'em yet :)

Oh, yes... I'm feeling sort of old and worn out, too. My blood pressure has been up lately, I was warned by my doctor that I have to get my cholesterol down, aches, pains, a toenail that bothers me... it seems like if it's not one thing, it's another. I'm not that old either, but sometimes I sure feel it.

My chronological age shows that I'm getting old but I don't feel I am. Seriously :) I guess it's a mind over matter thing. Once you think or feel that you're getting old, then your physiological age may even surpass your chronological age. In short, you'll look older than your age if you start thinking that you're getting old. Yeah, we can't stop the process of aging, but we can delay it a few years or so. You just have to have a proper mindset.

Yeah similar feelings arose in my body and mind after eating crap. It makes sense though that what you eat will become a part of you. So if you eat junk, your going to feel like junk. I would recommend thinking about eating healthier foods that will give you such a better feeling for years to come.
