my relative is suffering from Ovarian cancer

I know how hard it is when a loved one is stricken with a terminal disease. I can still remember how hard it was for me when the doctors found out that my mother had liver cancer and that it was also at stage 4. Her first doctor gave her only three months to live, her second doctor (since I refused to accept the three months to live verdict) blamed us for not choosing the most expensive treatment that's why my mothers' cancer tumors got bigger instead of stunting the growth. I decided, much to the dismay and arguments with my relatives, to stop her chemotherapy. Aside from it draining our finances my mother was also getting weaker. It has been two years since we stopped her chemotherapy and my mother is still alive. I don't know exactly what is it that I was able to do for my mother that's why she is still alive today without chemotherapy. I guess its more of showing that I love her and I took care of her hands on. I also researched on the internet on the type of fruits and vegetables that I could prepare for her to increase her immune system. Never give up. That is the best advise that I can give you. The doctors gave my mother three months to live. She is still alive now. If I were weak and accepted what all these doctors said, my mother would have been cold in the grave by now.

bonyang7191 welcome to myLot. I am so sorry to hear about your relative's illness. I truly wish I could add some additional advice to assist her, but I am sorry to say that if the doctors are not issuing additional medical assistance I do not know that if any one can. I would definitely advise to pray for her to be as comfortable as possible and that you all assure you are there for her. Please ask God to do what is right for her. As she has to be in a great deal of pain. I wish I could assure you by saying that perhaps a miracle will be bestowed but all I can say is pray for a miracle and or that God does what is right for her at this time. I can't imagine your pain and suffering as it would be wrong for me to compare as I have not had this experience. Please pray that everyone has acceptance as well and be strong for her. She will need all of your strength to overcome her illness. Do update us as I too will pray with you asking God for mercy. God bless and I hope every one well.

Sorry to hear that my niece and my daughter got scares there!, woh it can make you sick with worry.Hope she gets better and i hope you can find solace and content through your tough times..

Hang in there. Those type of illnesses are hard to accept but God is able.Change the diet. Have her eat lots of vegetable and fruits. Eliminate meat completely and keep your faith in God.
