Okay, so I am not officially over a week late. I've been having cramps off and on all week but my period hasn't started and my body in general feels 'off' like something is different. Apart from being late on monday-wednesday of this last week I was queasy all day and since last sunday my emotions have been ALL across the board. But mostly my negative emotions are extra intense. So if I'm even remotely sad/hurt I just break down sobbing. I took a pregnancy test on tuesday night and also one first thing thursday morning and they both turned up negative. Although they were the cheapest brand there. Should I have picked up a more expensive brand??.. I do have a Dr. Appointment next wednesday morning but the suspense is killing. I just.. well.. I am almost positive I'm pregnant just because I've never felt this way before and I've had paranoia about being pregnant in the past. This time is incredibly different. This is the first time I don't expect my period to just start. Usually I know its coming and this time I feel like its just not going too. But anyways are there any test brands you would recommend? That would be great! Thanks :)

I don't think the brand matters they all do the same thing. If the hormone is there then the test should work. When I found out I had actually ordered a bulk of pregnancy test (as we had been trying for a while) they cost about a dollar a piece and all 4 tested positive. Don't spend a lot on test if you are going to the doctor anyway. The pregnancy test has been around for so long at this point that any brand will do.

With my daughter, I had the fact that I was pregnant confirmed at our local health department. I never tried any of the over the counter pregnancy tests with her. With my son, however, my husband encouraged me to take a pregnancy test because of the fact that there were a couple of them at the house that had been used as a Christmas gag gift just a couple of months before. Those were just the dollar store pregnancy tests, but I did get accurate results with them. It really depends on how much of the hormone is being excreted in your urine.
