Is it true that the greatest treasure that we have in this life is our health?

Without health we can not enjoy life, can not work for a living, can not be useful as a human being, a burden to members of our family and our country. What a way so that we can maintain and guard the precious treasure that could be useful for us?

I think the greatest treasure of human beings is a good character and morals. Healthy people are immoral and bad character, not only useless as a human being, could even be a troublemaker in the world. Instead of the sick a moral and good character, the material may be harmful to others, but morally and spiritually could benefit others. There are also people who are less healthy / not healthy but still able to generate material benefits for themselves and the world. Examples that I know of is "Steven Hawking" the Prophet of Physics after Einstein, whose entire body was paralyzed because of something diseases. Useful to families and communities, not healthy or sick we are, but our attitudes.

Yes, because health is wealth. if you are unhealthy you cannot think well and will not be able to work. If you are unhealthy, you will need lots of medicine to make you well, but how can you have lots of money if you cannot even work?

Health is definitely the greatest treasure as far as I'm concerned. Througout my life, I've tried to maintain my best health. Disability came along as the result of my genes. Or my grandparents' genes. Seems like musculoskeletal problems run in the family. Apart from this, I've remained reasonably healthy and give credit for that to eating healthy from childhood. We have to keep an upbeat attitude toward life and eat healthy to maintain good health.

Yeah I would agree with this. Health is everything to a person. Doesn't matter if you have money, fame, whatever. If you're always sick you can't enjoy any of it.

I think health is just one of the greatest treasure in life but it cannot stand alone, it has to be combined with a sound mind, strong character, a little bit of luck, common sense, good moral values, compassion etc... and the sum total of all this should be guided by spirituality.

Having a good health, a good physical, mental and emotional health is A O for a life experiencing happiness, luck and success. Adding to ones life: a good home, good finances, having benevolent people being there for one another will a healthy living more fortunate. As long as you can maintain a good health you have benefits to enjoy much pleasure in life. I,myself has had serious health problems during many years. For me to regaining strength in my whole being is very important. I eat good nutritional food. I do regular physical exercises. I try to keep good sleeping routines a long with thinking good thoughts to keep a positive attitude.

I think that a combination of three things are the greatest treasure for life. These things are good health, good luck and happiness. If a person has terrible pain in his mouth due to a tooth that is hurting and can't afford to visit a dentist then he is likely not to be happy. If his wife has got cancer then she is not in good health. These two people are not likely to be happy and this is due to bad health. If a lady goes on vacation to Austria and the airline lose all her luggage then on her second day on the snow she falls and gets a broken leg. She comes back home and finds that whilst away her house had been robed. Then this lady wouldn't be happy due to bad luck and a medical condition. To maintain good health a person should try to eat a healthy diet and not get over his or her ideal body mass index. That person should try to do moderate exercise. He or she should drink water. He or she should try to do enjoyable things that make him or her happy examples are visiting his or her local library, having a picnic in the countryside or a walk by the sea. None of these activities are expensive to do.
