Do you switch off your pc without doing shut down?

Never!!! If you turn off your PC without first shutting down Windows,your hard drive could become more fragmented,files could become corrupted,and you could lose data.

Yeah it necessary to switch off our pc properly to ensure its long life i hardly shutdown my pc by press the power button i always the fastest way to do it easily without harming our pc is press the window tab or start button and press U U if you are on window xp

Hi dreamsharmin. When I am completely done off of being on the computer, I will shut it down and watch it go off. I don't like to switch off the computer by pressing the power button down. I like to do it the longer way. My husband told me that shutting it off by the button, can mess the computer up. So now, I try to make sure that I shut it down the longer way. You are right!

hello friend! yes friend when my laptop did not work that time i feel so much angry and i switch off my laptop without shut down.i just feel so angry.it happen with me so many time do not understand what the reason.i also know that it is bad for laptop but that to do that time? thanks a lot.

Well this thing can be okay for the new OS coz they had the mechanism of virtual saving of every task in certain timestamp. So it is perfectly acceptable to recent OS. Instead of switchoff you can hibernate the pc so that it can be done easily and fast to monitor your pc to rest.

Before I sometime just switch off my computer even if it was not shut down properly, specially when it responded slowly and I'm in a hurry but I realized that it is not good.We must shut down the computer following the right procedure before switching it off.

I also do that sometimes. I think that its the only thing left to do in this situation. When it freezes, you press everything and nothing responds to it. But doing this for a couple of times, my computer suffered so much. The RAM could not take it anymore so I had to replace it. Now, I just try to prevent it from happening. I now know the limits of my computer and I tend not to push it so much to avoid damages especially on the hardware side of it. It would cost me. I just do not multi-task a lot and I make sure that every file I have in my computer will not compromise my system.
