We are all interested in what the future holds. Is there a way to know what lies ahead? Where should we look for answers? How will future events affects our families and loved once? The book of Revelation ,the last book in the bible, is to many people the most confusing .They find its strange symbols and images puzzling and mysterious .But the book's very name means a revealing, A way to gain understanding . Its verse tells us it was written to reveal"thing which must shortly take place". So am writing to day to get a better understanding of the book of revelation on what is going to really take place in the days ahead. It is written in advance in the pages of the bible but i a better understandings please thank you .

When I am studying the Bible, I use reference books and commentaries. This is especially necessary when reading Revelation. I use a study Bible, a commentary and do follow-ups on margin notes. It is impossible to understand some of the Bible without aids in that study. There are also online sites which are nondiscrimintory that can help us study the Bible.

yeah, I agree with you. It can be very confusing but yet so straight forward as well. And it also can be scary as well. For me it take a lot of research and study in order to really understand the book of revelation. And so far I haven't listen any priest making their sermon based on the book of revelation. Maybe they find it is very difficult to interpret.

We can learn a lot by reading the book of Revelations. Thinks that make us unsure can be revealed there. It can be an unpleasant book to read because it doesn't always paint a pretty picture. it paints our tomorrows.

(Second attempt as a cat jumped on my keyboard and a I lost everything - I really wish Mylot would let me paste stuff). This is a huge subject that books have been written about so I'll try to keep things fairly brief and stick to main points that aren't commonly made. You shouldn't just look at Revelation, you need to consider it in conjunction with other Biblical prophecies. Many passages in Revelation clearly relate to other parts of the Bible (e.g. the beasts in Reve 13 are clearly composites of the beasts in Dani 7 and Reve 20:7-9 clearly related to Ezek 38-39). It's possible that there are less obvious allusions to other Bible passages. Sorry if this makes things more complicated. You should try to resist imaginatively fitting prophecies to recent or likely near future events. With enough imagination you can make anything mean anything. Many people have tried this and predicted that the soviet union would cause Armageddon, Ronald Reagan was the anti-Christ, the 10 nation EU was the beast empire, the world would end in 18 something. How many times have the Jehovah's Witnesses wrongly predicted the end of the world now? Reve 6:1-8 clearly relates to Zech 6:1-8, which both refer to white, red and black horses along with dabbled ones (Zech) and a pale one (Reve). They were written in different languages so perhaps "dappled" and "pale" mean the same thing. I've heard that in Greek "pale" really means "green" (stupid color for a horse) which is the color of Islam. Zech 6:1-8 clearly refers to 9:11. This means that we're probably soon going to see a quarter of the world's population killed, probably in ways related to Islam. Reve 7, the 144,000. 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel, except Dan (there are two lots form Joseph, oddly identified as being from Joseph and Manasseh). This fits the pattern of no two lists of the tribes of Israel being the same. This implies that Judah will be reunited with the lost tribes, as repeatedly prophesied, by this time. This in turn suggests that a much fuller restoration of Israel has happened, probably including the building a new temple. Reve 8 and the start of 9 describes a comet impact. A censor looks like a comet. It's given fire from the alter - makes its closest approach to the sun, probably putting on a spectacular display in the sky. Hail, blood and fire - debris from the comet's tail hitting the earth first because it's going away from the sun, tail first. Mountain ablaze thrown into the sea - the nucleus has broken into two main parts and one hits the sea. Star Wormwood - the second part the comet nucleus hits land - Chernobyl. Star given the keys to the abyss - the second part of the nucleus opens up a large crater, also sends up a lot of ejecta into the atmosphere darkening the sky, causing the moon to appear red and a third of the stars to become invisible. Reve 10 angel with the little scroll, almost certainly a nuclear missile going off. Reve 13 the two beasts. The first rises from the sea and the second from land - they're clearly associated with the comet impact. Also the two witness are killed by the "beast that comes up from the abyss", clearly the second beast from the crator caused by the second part of the comet nucleus. Therefore we don't have to play "Spot the anti-Christ" until the comet impact happens. I hope that's helped a bit.

That was interesting. Yes I quiet agree that we should worship as and when commanded by the Bible, which most Christians don't do. In fact the formula for Easter was specifically designed so it would not correspond with Passover. This makes no sense as Yeshua (Jesus) was crucified at Passover. I attend a Messianic synagogue which does follow these festivals (although we can't go to the Temple, of course). However, I'm not sure that this is the correct, or only correct, interpretation of the word "Armageddon". It is an actual valley in northern Israel (perhaps that's what it means by "the mount of congregation far to the north"). It could also refer to Temple Mount, which is a serious bone of contention in relations between Jews, Christians and Muslims. I don't think any of these interpretations are incompatible with any interpretations involving massive disasters, nuclear wars, etc..

Reading the Bible and what is written on it requires a deeper understanding, sometimes phrases are written in a mysterious way. We cannot just take them literally, we need to open our "eyes" and open our "ears". Open your heart when you are reading the Bible, God might want to tell you something.

The book of revelation requires a good and clear incite that can only be given by the holy spirit. The writings of the book of revelation can only be understood by the help and discernment of the holy spirit so to by point of view you should ask God's direction through the help of the holy spirit to help you understand the book of revelation because the answers of human beings will vary each and every day and some may be deceiving to you and will contradict to the present time events and what you have known through your church doctrines
