Is anyone else worried about the Formula one schedule not going ahead as planned, I do feel bad for Bahrain and their problems but really hope the situation calms down so the citizens can be at peace again but also for the formula one season to start. Also what are your thoughts on Bernie Ecclestone leaving the decision to host the Bahrain grand Prix down to the circuit directors rather than making a decision himself.I'm really looking forward to this season as I believe the drivers title will have more competition this season following on from last years competitive title chase.

It would be unthinkable for the grand prix to go ahead with all the deaths in Bahrain. To be honest, I think sport always has to come second place when there is upheaval in a country. Bernie is an awful little man who hasn't improved his reputation any by his decision not to make a decision!

I totally agree but just one of those disappointing moments for any fan of Formula one it would have been totally unthinkable for the event to go through but as a fan I am disappointed for the sport and I do realise it's for the good of both the sport and the people of Bahrain who I hope will resolve their problems sometime soon. Bernie looks foolish though for not being tough and just cancelling the sport grand Prix himself and I think he made the wrong call in not making the big decision when it was needed most which it certainly was in this case.

Bernie shouldn't have let the decision go to the hosts, and he should have had the guts to call it off earlier, citing safety concerns. But even though the situation in Bahrain is volatile, Bernie is looking to reschedule it later in the season. By losing Bahrain, Bernie loses $40 million. Bernie hates losing money, but I don't think he cares about the safety of the teams and drivers.

I do agree that it needed to be called of and in regards to Bernie I also believe he took the easy way out in leaving the decision to the hosts. If you were facing losing that amount of money though you could see why he was reluctant in calling the grand prix, safety first though is always more important and valuable in the long run for the sport. I hope they managed to reschedule the Bahrain grand Prix though.
