i am one of those people who use to experience a lot of body aches; headaches and menstrual cramps - hence i use a lot of pain killers (obviously, i do not have high tolerance for pain.lol) for my headache and body pains, i have noticed that alaxan and advil works well and for my menstrual cramps - ponstan. i would like to know if other people use pain killers as well and what type.

God, you're the same like me. I've been suffering from migraine ever since I was a student and very often nothing helps me. Surely the so praised ibuprofen doesn't help. I usually take Benalgin - 2 pills every 3 hours and it relieves the pain, or the Aulin, it's a powerful painkiller. But when my period comes, I simply want to die sometimes, because the headaches become even more severe and nothing helps. Once the headache passes, the cramps come. And I just wait for them to go away.

Good for you. My headaches are almost permanent and no matter how many pills I take, sometimes it doesn't work at all and all I can do is stay in bed, getting up only to go vomiting, can you imagine that? I would never wish this to happen even to my biggest enemy.

I almost never take any pain killers. I will suffer as much and as long as I can in hopes that I will feel better eventually without having to take anything. When it comes down to the last straw where I cannot stand the pain any longer then I take Advil. Tylenol does nothing for me but Advil works great!
