We burn wood in the stove to keep the house warm, once the fire got the whole chimney hot, and the cellar warms up, the whole house gets very warm even upstairs. Recently, we have an issue with the smoke. When we start burning, the smoke comes out of the pipes, we wonder if the chimney is clothed up. My husband was looking for a "snake", maybe he can clean the chimney by himself but the "snake" thing is not cheap because the chimney is so long, we will have to get numbers of those in order to reach the top of the chimney. But we wonder how much it will cost to have somebody to clean the chimney. Now it is snowing out again... and we can't burn... Does anybody have experience with this???

It would be great to have that. It's something classy and classic. Although I think the maintenance is high, I'm not sure. Can you tell me something about its maintenance?
