Siraj Bagh was become the home of Tulips in Kashmir

Recently i know these news from Telugu news paper about the Tulip gardens in Jammu & Kashmir
Seven day long Tulip flower festival held in Kashmir by the Department of Tourism near Dal lake to attract tourists from several parts of the country and including foreigners from other countries. Siraj Bagh is one of the biggest Tulip flower garden in Asia .Lot of Indians to go Holland to see Tulips, Now the Tulips are available to Indians at an affordable distance in India itself ,more than 12 thousand tourists visit the Siraj Bagh garden in these 7 days of the week, More than 3 laks of Tulip flowers ,and more than 60 varieties of multi colored Tulips are spread in the garden just like colorful saree/carpet on the earth. In the month of September, the Tulip plants are planted before the winter season, by the April month the Tulip plants are grown and spread all over the garden ,just like flower carpet on the earth. The Tulip flower festival belongs to states traditional art and culture, you cannot find any of these flowers in India other than Kashmir .

That sounds like a beautiful thing to visit! I love tulips. They are very pretty flowers! I would probably be sneezing like crazy but I would enjoy it and I would take lots of pictures if they are allowed! Hope you get to go and enjoy the tour!

thanks for the response,actully i am not going to the kashmir tour,because it is far from me,it will take minimum 3 days journey to that place on train,even it is cheap i cannot afford to visit the place at present due to money and time,i have seen this article in news paper,so i am sharing this with you,have a nice day

Your information is so tempting. Even otherwise Kashmir is famous for apples, roses and rare flowers. This is another feather in the crown to them. I am tempted to go to Kaahmir right now and enjoy the flower festival which is a feast to the eyes. Thanks for the info.
