Hello fellow mylotters. I am wondering about the water floss, if they are worth the money for them. I was searching for an inexpensive knockoff, but there are not many and they certainly are not inexpensive. I don't want to waste my money. When I went to the dentist, the water dental tool he used seemed to have worked fantastically. Since I had my teeth cleaned weeks ago, my teeth hurt when I use regular floss. I have receding gums and a porcelain cap on one of my teeth and it picks up food to store for later between the cap and gumline. It hurts, and the regular floss often does not do the trick to get rid of it. I wonder if the water flossing would help? Thank you for your response. I am looking forward to your thoughts on this type of product.

My dentist recommended a water pik for me and so far it's been doing a good job. I use to have one when I was a kid because I hated flossing and never had a problem with my teeth. Then I stopped using it in college and now I have all sorts of problems. My dentist's recommendation reminded me how useful water flossing is and so I'm doing it again.

I'm sorry to hear your teeth are trouble! I hope it does not develop into something serious. Thank you for your response. I will get a water floss next time I get paid.

I actually used one of these when I had braces. It really helped keep my teeth clean! I would recommend one. Since I was a child when this item was purchased for me, I honestly don't remember where we bought it or what brand it was. I would suggest looking on Amazon and reading the reviews. I often do that even when I plan to purchase something in store! Love having those reviews to go off of. :-)

Awesome! Thank you for your response. I will get one next time I get paid. I love reviews too! Rarely do I purchase anything that does not have high marks. It helps to read, because some people are just sooo...........I don't know a word to insert, but if you read reviews a lot and see what they actually say about the product, you will find at times they rate it differently. It sounds like a 5 star rating but people give 3-4 stars instead of the higher mark, and usually don't have anything bad to say about the product.
