Screen Rolls

I a HP Compaq Presario CQ70. Lately, the screen has been rolling. If I tap it or adjust the way it lays open it'll stop. I have no idea what the problem is. It's my life line to the world. I'm disabled and on a very tight budget. If it's something I can fix and it's simple then I won't be too worried about it. If it has to go in for repair I might as well forget about it. It'll be years before I can save up for another one. Anyone have any ideas why it's rolling? DCMerkle

I have no idea, but could it be the monitor rather than the computer? Maybe you can find a "new" monitor on some place like Craigslist or Freecycle.

If it were as simple as replacing the monitor, like in a desktop I would do it in a heart beat, but it's a laptop. I hope that I can just replace the screen part of the laptop and it's not something that is beyond what I can do. DCMerkle

you can attach a monitor to your laptop, just as you can attach a full sized keyboard and mouse to it. A friend did that for another friend so she could use the big, beautiful monitor she bought with her speedy laptop.
