Children addicted to facebook

These days children are addicted to facebook. They are wasting a lot of time by doing so.At the tender age children should not be introduced to facebook. My friends child got addicted to facebook and his grades in education dropped drastically.He is a brilliant student and now he is not at all showing interest in studies. What to do now? How to change him? Please give some suggestions.

One thing I am certain for sure. I'm not going to let my daughter get addicted there. She is too young to use the computer now but I'm going to warn her soon enough that she will get her grades low if she gets addicted there or any other networking sites.

Why not, as we parents oblige to every demands they make? I know one friend who is just in 8th standard in school. The problem was if he put his actual birth age he would not be allowed into. Finally it was the father who gave him the idea to put on his profile more than 20 years.
This is the extent children today are entering into the adult world. And I wonder as to on face book attracts them as I have not found any such absorbing program there.

really not only children including all age persons addicted to Facebook now a days.school going children are sitting lots of time in front of Facebook.but it should not right we ban the Facebook for children.
