But of course, the Guidelines keeps you from being the Admin Bait...
Admin Bait for deleting post, or worst, you're own account that is.
No one really wants to remind you of the guide, but people who've been here had to do it. because if they don't then we would be having tons of violators instead and discussions about users complaining why their post had been deleted.
I don't really see much of other Users in other social sites being this active in terms of reminding every user about the guidelines of posting, in my opinion, it's just here. Just be thankful to it, it's your choice whether you follow it or not but don't complain when it's being deleted.
If it gets deleted, just ask yourself why and do it again

When I "help" new members it is not because I am trying to act like admin police by no means. I was new one time and certainly would have enjoyed someone helping me. I have never been rude to anyone when I provide the "help", in fact 99% of the members are grateful when I do "help".
It is such a pleasure to see the members who take the "help" and turnaround instantly to be successful myLotters. So for me it is not an issue to "help" as I think that is what a community is all about - HELPING!!
Now certainly I could skip it and let the member fail on their own, but will that stop members from continually doing what they do. Nope! We get them all day long and I have to believe many do not do it intentionally, they do it because someone told them that they can.
See when I came here I was literally told write about anything. The referring person never said I could not spam, simply said write about anything. Now I was not one to write about anything as my pen-name is valuable to me so I did my own researching, which by the way I took 3 months before I posted a single thing. So when I "help" someone I don't want them to take 3 months and or fail.
That is my reasoning for helping, now if that makes me a bad myLotter then someone needs to explain to me what the definition of good actually is??
Although I went into a great deal of detail above, simply it is to voice that some members do it because of so much misleading information all over the net and not all newbies are bad, and this I know because many that I have "helped" are truly successful today!

Hello Hardworkinggurl,
That's good to know that you kept helping a lot of newbies in this site, it's nice to see some one like yourself that is not giving up on mylot and new members. I have probably lost of edge in reminding people and putting much discussions about the rules, people and post. I think I maybe guilty on skipping members dut to their mistakes but I guess there are times when you think you had enough and needs a break for some reaosn. Have a nice day. And keep helping others.

Well, I did read through but along the way it became clearer. It has become a habit for me to read through at the beginning, may it be guidelines or manuals. Though it may be quite impossible to understand everything in the beginning but we'll just be enlightened along the way - knowledge has finally turned into wisdom

Hardly a few do the reading the FAQ and other terms and conditions. lol even I had not read when I joined mylot. It was later when context popped out then only went for the reading and still I can not tell it confidently that I know them all.

Hello zweeb82
,
HAHAHA!
You got a strong point there! I use mobile phones here but I never even bother to check the manual even if it's always been there. But you know, manuals are a lot to read compare to just simple guidelines in this site, only a few to read and it's only in one or two pages at most.but you are right, even I don't read them, except here. Have a nice day.

You know, a thought came into my head as I was reading your post..You heard about lamby's idea of video responses? Well, if he made a video for each of the guidelines along with a visual of what NOT to write or do, then when someone posts up a discussion against the guidelines, everyone can go to his youtube and post the URL in this person's discussion...Think it might work?????@carmelanirel (20942)

Hello Carmel,
Nope
, I haven't heard of it but I have seen Lambs videos in youtube for quite sometime now before he made that other ytube acount. I think this is different from other lotters expressing their views. Well, it's making him more like the admin but all he can do is report them otherwise, and not something else. He's doing a great service as fasr as am concern.have a nice day.

Hi LetranKnight,
If it gets deleted, just ask yourself why and do it again
The reason is there. Either it is mylot violation or plagiarism. I am not sure though, if the admin finds one with constant plagiarism he/she could get banned.
You put it right that unlike other sites mylot keeps vigil on things and constant monitoring has helped those Trolls flee.

Hello Kraijg,
Plagiarism
is a big time violation and it's not tolerated here I believed. I wouldn't want to get in trouble as a lot of users in this site got already themselves trouble loosing their accounts, most specially the ones who are actually been here and had so many post. The last lotters that i've heard getting banned was a chinese lotters, it was sad because he had so many post and even put a tag that says “copied post”
. Have a nice day. @joygracia (1325)

Hello Joy Garcia,
Yes, every one is unique but we are all equal in mylot and most specially the guidelines are bestowed upon us equally so no one crosses the line and gets deleted. Have a nice day.

Mylot is the only site i am active .. And yes there are many helping users here who always helps newbies about rules on mylot. Around 2 years ago even I got many useful tips about mylotting from others and because of that I am able to do smooth things here... Surely admin don't delete discussions without any reason.. So better improve our working on mylot.

Hello Akangirl,
Remember people can report any violation that they believe it's not supposed to be in this site. Sometimes, the admin will see it and delete it themselves because there's a lot of moderators here besides the admin.happy earnings too! As I am in desperate move to earn something before the day ends, it seemed hard when I am busy and slow while the end of the month is closing.

Letran-
The sad thing is half of the responses I read in a day are those of one Mylotter telling another Mylotter about the guidelines. I have to sit back today and simply say that if people choose to act as volunteer police that is their business. No one is making them sign up, take the job, or the like. If they complain they have no time for the good threads, well it is their choice that led to that feeling.
Personally, I think if we simply focused on the quality threads the trolls, etc would simply go away because no one would be contributing to their success. The poor threads and violators will continue to thrive the more that people continue to write on their threads, and continue to post threads about the violators.
And before anyone else can comment my comments here are contributing as well.

Hello Anora,
I did try to have a civilian group of guidelines reminders in this site but of course, mylotters particularly veterans didn't take it well.I want them to stay but if they want to leave, just leave and stop with the whining since we have experience everything that they have experience, so I think they should realize how serious the admin is when it comes to discussions that's not supposed to be around here.have a nice day.

I've had, my response deleted by MyLot, the numbers are very surprising. In one day I have 7 responses, which were removed. I am very disappointed, but I am aware, this is my fault. I'm lazy to read the rules in MyLot, so I had to experience this. Until now, I'm lazy to read the rules, I just learned from the discussions that have been deleted by MyLot. And me, little understood, with a discussion as what to delete.

Hello Sql
,
You
can't afford to be lazy when you lost seven post, the next time it would be your account that gets deleted. Believe me, IT HAPPENED TO ME, and I don't tend to go through that again. Here is the guidelines that you should read, and asked yourself what made them delete those post. Because if you keep it up, admin will seriously take notice of you. Have a nice day.
Not a referral link.
