according to the readings that i read, this bill aims to guarantee a universal access to the methods and information on birth control and maternal care. in some instances also that i heard, this bill help to reduce population and poverty. however, the Catholic Church oppose to this bill since it violate the laws of nature, the procreativeness of the person and the sacredness of life and intimacy or union of husband and wife. how about you, what is your opinion?

I guess there are really some pros and cons about the RH Bill. I'm a practicing Roman Catholic but I still see some benefits that can be derived from this bill. Besides, although we are a predominantly Catholic country, there are still others who do not profess the same faith. Our government represents everyone, all religions included, and the bill is also for them. Personally, the Catholic Church has a very legitimate claim on its opposition to the bill, and they could still help in controlling population growth and poverty by their own method. The government also has its own method. Everybody wants to solve our population growth problems.

but taking the life of innocent is a crime and that is what the rh bill is all about. to control population tru contraceptive and that is against the sacredness of life which God gave us.

We should look at things under perspective. There is no life taken away since there is no life that exists to begin with. The RH bill isn't proposing abortion.

Debate about RH Bill has been going on in my class for many months now and I can say that this is one big issue that is needed to be transparent and well-discussed in public. While I agree that are population is getting out of control, I totally disagree with the legalization of abortion which is also under the RH Bill. I agree that we must now use contraceptives and be wise in upbringing a family but we don't have any right to take away the life that God has given to us. Legalization of abortion is also mandated under RH Bill and people from church are against it but this is not how they present it to public. Publicly, they made it look like that church is against the use of contraceptives but I think that the reason the church is against it is because of the clause on abortion.
