So I got this idea from Sidetick as it was the daily tickbuck topic for yesterday or the day before...I was wanting to know what was your best or worst job interview to date. Personally, I don't think that I have had a bad interview but my best job interview to date would be the one I had just this past Sunday....I was stressing that I would do bad in my interview but when I got there, my now boss asked me to fill in some paperwork, told me what my duties would be & then which days i would be working this week - I wasn't aware until I got there that I already had the job

My worst interview to date ever was 2009. In Sykes Asia. I was returning employee and I was referred to by a trainer friend of mine. I left the company due to end of contract. The account that I was was brought to India already. I told the interviewer that reason and the girl was rolling her eyes on me! She wants me to elaborate further about what I meant by End of contract, which I believe is SELF EXPLANATORY already. She was really such a BIATCH! I wanted to poke her eyes already when she keeps on rolling her eyes on me while she was interviweing me. Her name was Anne at Sykes Ortgas (One San Miguel) I wonder why she became an HR, when she cannot even understand what END OF CONTRACT MEANT. I wish I brought a barbeque stick to poke her eyes on!

I think its so unprofessional for an HR to behave like that, so unethical and so rude. Dont start with " they are just testing you" thing because its just not right. An HR must be professional. Even if the applicant are struggling with their answers, they should maintain a neutral reaction. They should not roll their eyes or be nasty. I even answered a question in our local language as there are some words that does not have any translation in English, but she was very curt and said " so, you are answering me in Filipino now?" what the F! jeez, I want to tear her apart like a piece of scratch paper right then and there in front of me.

I can't even remember my response at Sidetick mate...how bad am I? There was one interview I always think of. It was for a sales position in a jewellery store. The girl that interviewed me was so young! I had more experience in my little finger than she did and she was so nervous I guessed it was her first lot of interviews. It was difficult to sit through let me tell you. She was also full of herself so I was glad I did not get the job because I would not have enjoyed working with her at all.

Hi moon, I know many people feel nervous sort f while facing an interview for a job. As they grow too much self conscious they cut a sorry figure and do not get into the job. I too feel a little bit od uneasiness before facing the board, but the moment I take my seat I do not know where from I get energy and I come out of the interview room all smile. I have not appeared for many but whenever I did I would be in the first three of the contenders. My first interview was for a job of asst professor and I did very well, I mean I could satisfy the board and I got the job and I have been in the same profession and I love it.

I am glad that you are happy in your profession...soemtimes it's hard to get in the interview with confidence...I can sometimes but i think what made this one a little different is that I already knew my boss before the interview.

My worst interview was when I just started out working full time, about 25 years ago! I was applying to airline jobs as I was working for one at the time. I guess my finger lost its place in the classifieds (before internet was big) and I applied for the wrong job. Well, I was called in for the interview - it turned out it was to be a Station Manager for Korean Airlines. While I worked in Accounting and then in Sales for an Airline, I never worked at the airport. Not sure why they chose me to come in. It was a disaster. I did not have the skills or qualifications needed for the job. I thanked them and felt the fool when I walked out for applying for the wrong job! lol

Wow! That was strange..I wonder why they did ask you in for an interview!?!?! I can completely understand why you felt the fool once you realised you had applied for the wrong job!

I think my worst was the one I had a couple of months ago. I managed to mess up on every single question. I hated the interviewer and I let it show. I perceived him as very aggressive to me and I got partially annoyed and partially defensive. My best was one I had some years ago. It was nothing special about it, but I managed to answer every question reasonably well and got the job in the end.

As soon as I saw this posted, I was thinking - wow...I just answered this question on Sidetick a few days ago! hahahah My best job interview was for my most recent job. The reason it was the best is because there was no job interview at all! lol I went in and talked to the owner, she had me come in and start training a few weeks later! Pretty sweet I must say. :-)

I don't have any worst job interview. All my interviews were fruitful, thank God for that. I think the worst job interview you can find would be when the Boss can't make up his mind on whether to hire you or not and keep asking you to come back for second or third interviews. I've seen one or two like such.

I completely agree with that & I too have seen this happen.
