Pakistan sets up a formidable target of 278 for Sri Lanka to win the key match in group 'A'. Winning the toss and electing to bat, Pakistan made a brisk start against Sri Lanka pace ball attack scoring more than run a ball in first 10 overs. The run rate was then controlled by their spinners Muralitharan and Herath giving only 81 runs in 20 overs they balled. The Pakistan total got solidity by the partnership of 108 runs between Misbah-ul-Haq and Yunus Khan. Misbah-Ul-Haq top scored with 83 runs of 91 balls. With formidable balling attack both pace and spin Pakistan looks good to defend the target. What do you think?

Hi msdivkar,
Well Pakistan has scored a good run but not an impossible for the Lankans to reach that. This is indeed an important match for both the teams.SL has some reliable batsmen and if they get going the target set by Pakistan is quite achievable.
Lets see what is the final result.

Pakistan played really well..they maintained the momentum throughout their innings...the start was also good except for couple of goof ups and later on the control from Murali what a master class he is...credit needs to be given to Misbah, Younis and Kamran the way they are playing, they are in prime form, should be a good omen to the Pak team and hope they play well..It would be very difficult for the SL to overhaul this score...
