How do you feel the German army in the modern world ?

Everybody was scared by the powerful German military strength during the second world war.They could alwyas conquer a small country in Europe in just a few days. In terns of military strength , they were just so powerful . Unfortunately , they were all under the Nazi Command and these army had just served the terrible warlord , Adolf Hitler.Of course they were all conquered by the Allies at the end of the world war. But in terms of be a good fighters, who wouldn't say that their soldiers were really powerful fighters during the war. Things had been changed after the war has been over for many years, the soldiers in German is quite different from those in the second world war. Frankly speaking, my knowledge about the morder day German military strength is so limited. if you know anything about the German soldiers today, share with us.

As far as I know, they are not threaten to the world peace right. If they have something secretly going on, the U.S. CIA would notify the congress right? We should be able to do everything to prevent everything happen, don't you think? After the World War II, every part of the world learn their lessons well, and they might also strengthen their military strength in order to protect their homeland security, don't you think?

I don't believe that the Germans have all that much military power these days and it has this common with other European countries. Perhaps China and America have much more advanced armies and very strong military strength. Maybe Germany is a more peaceful loving country these days and there no way it would repeat anything like World War II. The United Kingdom army went into war in Iraq and the German army didn't want that it seemed. I wish that world could become a more peaceful place. I had to switch off a documentary called "War Child". It showed children living in the Gaza Strip in Israel.

i am half german so i think that i can explain it a little bit.
Nowadays, european military power is no match fur America's or China's military power. The reason? European people are probably the most sophisticated thinkers in terms of war ( only after my experience, im not sure if it apllies to everywhere), and even more important, they have (or at least think they have) a moral highground. Waves of protest have actually forced the german government to ban the "forced 1-year term for serving in the military" followed by a current discussion whether the soldiers stationed in the Middle East should be pulled back.
Furthermore, Germany used to have a huge technological advantage, which has decreased and even reversed now.
In short terms, military power of Germany is decreasing.
I'm not sure whether everything i say is correct, just my own thoughts
