Fire ladder in the wrong room and not out of the box!

We used to sleep in the west bedroom. So our fire ladder (our bedrooms are all on the 2nd floor) is still in the west bedroom. But now our bedroom is the east bedroom. I think our fire ladder is still in the west and still in the box. I haven't seen it in a long time, come to think of it, did my husband give it to my brother? So do you have a fire ladder? Is it where you need it? Out of the box? Do you practice fire drills? I keep trying to talk my husband into practicing fire drills. So far, no go. Do you have a fire plan, ours is, nearest door, run like crazy to. We have many doors for a small house, so that's not a problem, still that 2nd floor, at night. So what challenges to fire escape do you have?

We've only got one usable door at the moment, but we're only using one floor of the house so at least we haven't got to worry about ladders.

I hope you don't get a flood or fire near the one door. Got a window for a back-up plan?

I'm not actually convinced we could squeeze out of it past the piles of stuff that have accumulated in the alcove!

You're worrying me about you Greenmoo. I start these to help people so I don't have to worry about them!

well, we do have a one floor house, but only 2 doors, I guess we might have to try kicking out a window if the fire was between our bedrooms and a door

Good idea, hope we never have a fire, but all kinds of ideas now might be of helps some time later. Thanks and take care.
