Facebook Vs Orkut / myLot

Three years back I remember Orkut was a phenomenon.Then how did facebook get the edge over it.Did Orkut ran out of gas and self expired or was the Facebook a greater phenomenon?

Hi dark rider soumya: I think that's because facebook has a lot of games and a better design. Now that almost everybody is on facebook, it's really difficult for some of the users to stop using their service and move to another social network, specially because we have all our friends using facebook. At least I think there must be a point where Facebook will be replaced but I'm not sure how it would be. Nice question. ALVARO
