I think many of us grew up watching the 90's X-men cartoons, Many people also followed X-men through American comics. While most likely most mylottwers (makes me sad) just knew X-men because of the movies.
Anyway, Marvel have given rights to a Japanese company to make AN X-men anime. Which is strange because X-men is so American so people are more comfortable to see it as a Cartoon than an anime.
There is an Upcoming X-men Anime, Usually Americans mess up Japanese stuff, but this makes me think, Will the Japanese mess up American stuff or will they make it better.
X-men will now make a transition from American Cartoon to Anime.

I always loved Anime better than cartoons but my respect to them 90's X-men cartoon is high. So I was more comfortable to see X-men as a cartoon than an Anime.

LOL everyone is having anime style hair,
Well the setting of the story will remain in united states but everyone will speak Japanese. Its Japan exclusive i think, since this Japanese company is afraid to piss of the American fans of X-men since they might tweak it to their culture.

I viewed the teaser for the anime. It seems nice. It looks like I am just reading the comics only better. hahaha... I am looking forward to this and I hope they wouldn't change the storyline.

I found it strange that Japan is making Anime versions of American stuff like Transformers,Powerpuff girls and Now the X-men. Its so strange to see the X-men speaking Japanese. Speaking of Japanese, In the comics there are 2 Japanese girls who were members of X-men, they never appeared on TV and movies, only in the comics but this anime version will give them spotlight.
I heard the plot is like this: X-men members goes to Japan to rescue a Japanese girl mutant and bring her to America were mutants are more accepted.

that's because US didn't really mind buying off franchise from the Japanese first and adopting it in their culture. Power rangers was really meant for kids and it's not as serious as the sentai ones.well, that's good to know, they 're recreating the American Comics to be converted into anime.

At least they didnt turn the characters into Japanese, they will just speak Japanese. Plus the Japanese members of X-men will finally experience some spotlight. The Japanese X-men members are Surge and Armor (you can wiki them if you like) This anime will give them spotlight outside the comics I think. Plus both of them are marketable to Japan because they were both teenage girls.
USA tried to make a Sailormoon Cartoon and its a blasphemy compared to the anime. On a weird note Wolverine will fit in an anime because in his 200 YEARS life (yes he is immortal) he lives in Japan for few decades.

As i recall they did the same with lots of others cartoons :D One of them was the powerpuf girls :D Well the anime was way boring then the real animation .
But well about X-men i really liked it when i was a child and watched it alot and every day even for a whole day . I did not know they got an anime but i think its not going to be something good ( and thats a person that watch animes every day is saying :P )

Well, this is a collaboration between Marvel and Madhouse. First, there's Iron Man anime which ended last Dec. Currently, Wolverine anime is airing and next is X-men's turn. It's a 4-part anime collaboration and I think the last Marvel anime will be Blade.
Looking at the trailer, I think the quality is pretty good. In fact, I think the quality is better than that of the cartoon. But well, most of us watch X-men when we were little and the impression stayed with us. Most of us often think that the original is the best and I think it's the same case for X-men.
Anyway, I don't think it's Japan Exclusive since Marvel is part of it. The trailer says that the mutants of X-men are going to gather in Japan and so that means that the setting of the anime is in Japan.

I hope this would be good because I kinda disliked the transformers anime and I heard the Powerpuff girls anime suck. (Japan's revenge againts hollywood....LOL)
I'm excited to see The X-men members Surge and Armor because these japanese X-men members only appeared in comics and its interesting to see them comes to life through animation.

I will always be a fan of the various incarnations of the X-Men, through television and the comic books over the years. However, I don't really know if this will be such a good fit. It will be worth a look I suppose but Anime was never my cup of tea for some reason. I grew up on the original X-Men cartoon in the 90s, that along with Batman: The Animated Series was the pinnacle of animation when I was a child to me. I did enjoy the other two X-Men series fair enough when they aired, although they did have a standard to live up to.
So we'll see. It might be good, it might not be something that I enjoy. Its the X-Men. I really think that a comic/cartoon series that would work rather well as an anime would be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I believer there was one, briefly, and I've heard varying opinions on it. Still it could be something decent. Just have to wait and see.

I watched the anime version of X men. Frankly speaking, I enjoyed it than the original cartoon version. Though Wolverine's looks is very rough and the blue beast looks cute not fierce. The story is good so I guess I love their anime adaptation.

While I like anime and X-Men, I'll probably wait for DVDs to get over here before I see it.

I'm very curious how would this turn out, LOL for seeing them speak Japanese but Wolverine does speak Japanese because during his 2 century life there is a certain point he lives in Japan and have romances with 3 japanese women.

Hello Captain,
AND WHY NOT?! Americans did mess up a lot of Anime trying tomake something new instead of following the story line (e.g. Dragon Ball [suck!]). i mean, they screw up the sentai because of the power rangers! i think they started their own Anime version of Iron man as well.
American fans i think shouldn't complain since they pretty much claim that English music on Dragon Ball was a lot better than the Japanese Version (HELLO!)@CaptAlbertWhisker (32760)

Plus unlike America that loves to whitewash characters Asian characters, In the X-men anime they seemed to respect that the core Asian members are Americans. Their nationalities wont change, In fasct the story is that the x-men members go to Japan to save Japanese mutants.
I wonder how the Japanese dubbing can give Justice to Storm's African accent.
I just hope it wotn look like the Powerp[uff girls anime were the violence is removed and they turned the Powerpuff girls into transforming magical girls.
I hope X-men members wont introduce their selves before fighting (its an anime tradition.)
I hope Japan is not trying to make an X-men anime to make revenge againts Americans.
