what does targus mean?

I really hope it isn't something bad that I'm asking about, but I've been seeing this word everywhere latley. My mouse and tripod were made by a company called targus. I would think it's just a companies name, but I also saw it on one of my favorite T.V. shows once, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been talking about that. So wat does it mean? I think it might be one of those "U"'s that has two little dots over it, but i'm not sure.
