Why Christians are largest population here on earth? What did Christians do? Based from what I heard, from the past, they have had lots of inquisition for those who do not follow Jesus Christ and that is why, Christians population expand throughout the whole world, but I am not sure if this is correct.

Actually the followers of the Christian religion are second by number to Animists. The reasons that the Christian religion is so prevalent are many. They range from that brilliant publicist Paul who recognized much of what was holding Christianity back and changed it to the emperor Constantine who need ing a way to hold his disintegrating empire together chose Christianity as the cement. The fact that Christianity's roots are in an old warrior religion is one major factor in its success but it is impossible to single out any one reason that it has done as well as it has.

Hello
Introvertshy,
As I recall in my history, the Emperor of Constantine made Roman Catholic legal as a the country's religion so that people can be controlled under ONE Religion and that is christianity bringing down the paganism in some areas of worship and religion. well, that's what i remember on that movie that i did watch and besides, in most historic times in Europe, christianity was number before Islam

fast fact: constantine himself was a pagan. he was converted a christian on his deathbed. in his time, however, he made christianity the official religion. there was a threat of a religious uprising, so he has to choose which should be the official religion to pacify the people. he ended up choosing christianity since majority of the citizens were christians. but he did not embrace christianity until he was too weak to protest.

Christians have a convert or die mentality, they always have, and they always have to be right. They believe that their religion is the only one and true religion. I think that they all have issues, but what do I know?

Christianity is not only the largest population but it is also the most powerful and most influential religion ever humankind had ever have. It scattered around the face of the Earth, on different kind of forms types, branches, sections, society, culture, languages and races. A lot of earthly kIngdoms was been perished and destroyed into the ground.
If we have still today presently our so called the Tyranny of the Inquisitions or Crusades at early days of Christianity, we have been on a One World Order a long time ago. With only One Religion - Christianity.
But no and of course not the Inquisitions or the Crusades that made Christianity the most powerful, influential and largest principle or concepts of knowledge and wisdom religiously and spirituality we ever have, but because of our humanity itself. Christianity is our humanity. Christianity was been embedded and intertwined in our humanity, and we evolve into different kind of humanity. From our old ancient animalistic or lowered form world into our new world we living now presently. Christianity uplifted or evolved our lower form of beings or separate us from lower form of beings like other species.

I don't think that anyone is so devoted to religious conversion than Christians. It seems to me that being a member of most non-Christian religions are more something you are born into. They don't really put much time into conversion. And many of these non-Christian countries are the less developed countries where there is no separation of church and state, whereas Christianity is the dominant religion in more wealthy countries, which definitely helped them expand.
Not only that, but where do Christians (ie. Mormons) send their missionaries? To less-developed countries. Why do they go there? Conversion. Christians have always had a peculiarly large focus on conversion; to them, "spreading the word of God" is a duty.

It seems to me that Christianity is the more widespread belief because "Christians" had a bigger hand in branching out across the globe.
The first immigrants to the Americas in the modern world brought their religion with them. The Roman Catholic Church was pretty much the gospel on Earth some hundreds of years ago for much of Europe and beyond.
It also seems so abundant because there are many sects under the Christian banner.
But as far as any inquisition and subsequent forcing of religion on people, that's unfortunately something we see with a few religions. It's really nasty business when you get down to it, and I'm sure millions of people have been counted as a particular religion against their will.
Still today in some places in the world, you must abide by the religion or possibly be killed. That means they're teaching their children the same thing, and they to their children, and so on.
At least Christians seem to be lightening up a tad. But I'm sure it's still thrusted upon people often enough.
