PTC programs to advertise

Anyone use Ptc programs to advertise your site or a page? Obviously some do but i guess my main question is how effective is the advertising. Its fairly cheap , some sites offer 1c or even 0.10 cent per visit. Im trying out a few different sites right now to see if it will convert to any sale. What concerns me is how the members do the "visits" , how often would they actually look at the site. Probably not very often. In the end its all about is it worth it. Using adwords is very expensive , similar programs bidvertiser ect want anywhere from 5 cents to 1$+ per click. Im just looking to see if anyone had done something similar and how effective the ads have came out to be.
