I think before I got on the Internet, I was far, far more trustworthy of people in general. Now these days, while I'm not completely paranoid, partially paranoid is an answer. The Internet has allowed everyone access to everyone else. Both for the good and for the bad with good and bad people utilizing the Internet for good and for evil. I think that also my mind has been opened up to new things that I might have never discovered without the Internet or if I had, it would have been many more years down the line. So there is some good and some bad with the Internet.

I dont think that the internet has really changed me as a person. i think it may change how much information I come into contact with. It is so easy to access almost anything on the internet you are interested in. Nothing is perfect including the internet, so you have to take each new discovery as it comes.

Really the more information that you have, the more that it can alter your perceptions on what you perceive in this world. There are times where I would have had one opinion or one stance, had I not come across said information upon the Internet. In essence, that has really shaped me as a person for sure. Thanks for responding. It is appreciated. Have a nice day.

My lifestyle has most definitely changed with the internet. Much of my news I get online. I spend a great deal of time online, and not enough doing other things such as crafting, making jewelry, painting, etc. The internet has become my entertainment, besides too much tv. I would rarely have the tv on before. Now with the internet, I have it on while I am doing my thing online.

The Internet is quite a time vampire when you think about it. As it really absorbs all of the free time that you have. Granted, its to be expected, as there is just so much to do on the Internet. To the point where no sane person would try and do it. Still the amount of news and instant news that we get online really keeps us up to date with the world. Almost given a bit more then we would like to know at times. Thanks for responding. It is appreciated. Have a nice day.

It's true that in the past years the Internet has become a major part of my daily life,so it certainly had some influence on my personality, and I think most of it is positive, although sometimes I wonder if I don't spend too much time in front of the computer, which would be a negative aspect. The fact that nowadays I can easily communicate and share my opinions on life with everyone,a fact which wasn't possible in the past when I had no internet, had certainly a positive influence on me because it encouraged me to express myself and meet people with interests which are close to mine.So for me,the Internet is definitely a positive thing.

Connecting with people of similar interests and interacting with them, is most certainly a huge thing that really does lead to benefits of the Internet. I think to some extent, we may in fact spend too much time on the computer. Although it is up for debate, how much time is too much time. It is about what you are doing with that time that is relevant. Thanks for responding. It is appreciated. Have a nice day.

there are really good and bad things about the internet. the internet perhaps changed me in some ways. before, i liked more the active physical games such as badminton and volleyball but now, i better choose to stay home and play online games. i also feel that things are more instant and cost effective since i try to shop online instead of walking on a department store in town. i also become more inclined to sending messages on my friends' inbox and chatting with them in facebook rather than texting or calling them on their phones. we also use YM to chat instead of visiting each other at home. less cost, but less physical contact as well. perhaps internet give effects in relating with other people. everything we get in the internet has its pros and cons we need to take into consideration and something we need to think about.

I think Internet has saved a lot of time in some ways but it has also wasted time in others for sure. To be honest, I tended to keep to myself socially a lot before the Internet. I was someone who was respectful and social but I most certainly did not go out of my way to investigate conversation face to face. So really the Internet did not change that for me. Thanks for your response. It is appreciated. Have a nice day.

It is a wonderful thing. I think that there is only going to be a fraction of the world that we might have access to in real life. Obviously that fraction is going to be much bigger for some people then others. Still the new experiences and what not has been a wonderful thing. A good thing about the Internet. It has really enhanced the world. Thanks for responding. It is appreciated. Have a nice day and thanks.

The Internet is quite the great thing to be sure. It is such a huge part of our lives and the world today in general, that it would hard to imagine life without it. There was a time without the Internet, but it does seem so much. Still it is much easier to access information and that is a great thing. Thanks for responding. It is appreciated. Have a nice day.

I've never really thought about it. I know the internet has changed the way I live and how I get information. I can say I am somewhat addicted to it sometimes it's hard for me to get off only because for me it's a way to make money and I feel I need to stay on so I can make more money. I can go without it. Last year I didn't have internet at home for about three months. I had to go to the library to use it but I didn't go every day. If the internet disappeared tomorrow I'd just have to find a new way to do things.

Yeah if it did disappear, it would be a bit of a hard pill to swallow. Life would go on but there are two periods of my life. The time before the Internet, which seemed like a lifetime ago. Then the time of the Internet, which seems integrated into my life, along with the lives of many other people. It would be quite of an adjustment, I would have to admit. Thank you for responding. It is appreciated. Have a nice day.

The internet has changed my life and who i am because i get all my vital information and resources from the internet and i get phone numbers i need and also get prices for work on the interet. Not sure where i would be without the internet inmy life or be able to use it at work. If i dint have it at work i would be really busy and have no time for anything else at work. I love the internet for being able to use facebook and then use it to make money with my sites i use daily. Love the internet for making me money on a daily basis and without the internet there would be no internet making money sites around at all and life would be hard.

The Internet has been a benefit with the way the economy is. That extra money we learn can relieve the strain, sometimes a small amount, sometimes a larger amount, but really every little bit does in fact help. I have a feeling that information would stall a lot. In fact, I always seemed to be a bit behind the curve before the Internet, as compared to other people who had Internet access before me. Thanks for responding. It is appreciated. Have a nice day.

Good day to you Megamatt, With reference to your main topic, internet does not really changed me as a person. Only, it just help me to developed my awareness in opening my knowledge in much wider ideas. As internet scope is so big. It can help you from the point of researching/browsing up to generating your expanded ideas. Thus, this ideas being generated in the internet world might be advantageous and disadvantageous to us. Hence, when we are doing the browsing thru the net, we also should be careful and vigilant so we will not be trapped in the wrong side or on the negative side of the internet.

The Internet is a big place, very true. And it is only growing to infinite levels as time passes by. So there are going to be dangerous places to be. That is really the nature of the beast. Every time something good comes along, there are people who come along to do good for a while but then there are those will ill intentions that will find a way to twist things to their own benefit. Thanks for responding. It is appreciated. Have a nice day.

Wow! What an incredibly deep, and fascinating discussion topic! I am curious, was there something in particular that caused you to consider this? Certainly the presence of anything at all can effect human behavior, and the Internet is not a rare commodity nowadays. Many of us, (myself included), rely on the Internet everyday. For the amont of power given to this worldwide network, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it changed people as a whole. In fact, it would be more shocking if it didn't. I suspect there are professionals in the field of psychology studying these effects.

Who knows, it was the next topic down on the list of potential future topics that I planned on posting in the not so distant future. I'm certain I might have jotted it down due to future reference upon something, perhaps my anniversary on my Internet. Or it could have been some random thought that I had when I was lying in bed at night. Those tend to make some rather intriguing ideas for topics from time to time. Still a psychology study would be quite the interesting one on something like this. It would really lead to some interesting data to say the very least. Of course, it would have to be done over a number of years, with varying periods, and people of varying backgrounds, to really get a good idea. Thanks for responding. Have a nice day. Thanks.

The internet has changed me for the better. I like to take the time to enlighten myself when I'm curious about something and now have the capability to do so without having to invest time and money on it. I can keep in touch with people via video chats and IMs, Facebook and email. I can compete in online leagues and play games. And these days, I can do a lot of that from my cell phone. It's wonderful. And megamatt, I noticed you said it made you become less trusting of people... I've NEVER been a trusting person. I'm always suspicious of others by nature.

Yeah but the world does tend to give many people a reason not to be as trustworthy. There are a lot of deceitful people out there. And let's face it, deceit leads to even more deceit and there are a lot of tricky things in the world to say the very least. Still there are a lot of good things to come with the Internet. You've got to take the good with the bad and everything in between. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.
