I started using mylot since two days. Only now I noticed that I dont have a STAR near my name and most of my friends have. Why is it so? Is that something about the quality of the posts I make or something else. Anyhow I too need that. Please help me with this. And suggest any way to improve my rankings in Mylot. Now I am ranked around 13600 out of 24000. How could I improve it?

Hello kalesh13 and welcome to myLot. You will obtain your first star as soon as you reach 100 participation's. That is the number in parenthesis after your user name. You get that specifically while participating here on myLot and are rated by all the members who feel they should either give you a (+) or (-). The higher the star the better earnings. Although a member wit a lower star does not mean the member is doing poorly with participation, it is how some have rated the member. You can learn all the advantages of how each one is used here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx Please review the above link as it will also explain that abusing the system will also affect your own rating. Best of luck and welcome aboard!

Oh...regarding the ratings xxx out of xxxxxx....that is your interest rating. The more you participate in that particular interest, your ratings for that interest will increase. The first number is your rating, obviously, the second number refers to the number of members who have the same interests.

You have a post count of (6) when that number reaches (100) you will receive your star.Since you have a long way to go before receiving one, just try to concentrate on posting quality discussions and responding to others and you'll reach the 100 mark in no time. doing this is what increases the number you now see beside your username and brings you closer to getting your star.
