Learning and loving Badminton

I've played badminton before. But not that serious. All I did before was to hit the shuttlecock making sure that it wouldn't touch the ground and that's it. No rules were applied. What can I do, I was just a kid back then. But now that I'm already working, I got myself into the badminton club in the office and wow, my officemates are awesome. I just realized how unskillfull I am. I wasn't even knowledgeable of the rules and the footworks. I intentionally joined the club just to have fun. But wow, i didn't imagine that they'll be teaching me all this stuff. Now, I'm playing it almost every weekend. What about you? What sports are you into?

The average in my country. almost everyone, can play badminton although not a proffesional, but everyone has different abilities

That's a nice starting point to be professional i think. At least you now know how to hit the shuttlecock and hold the racquet in a proper way. From there, I think you can move on with the proper movements and the like. Hope you'll improve more. Thanks for sharing. Happy mylotting :)

Badminton is a great game not only as a sport but also to keep oneself fit. Like you I also took up serious badminton later on in my life as I started working more for keeping myself fit then competitive purpose. I was lucky that I joined state badminton court where state players were also practicing and the services of state coach were available. Any sport could be better understood and played under the guidance of a professional coach. I was lucky to get one and my game improved manifolds. You should also try to secure the services of a coach. Your club must be having one. Most important buy a good racket like yonex that will help you a lot in improving your game.

Thanks for you suggestion. I was really thinking of getting one since it really makes a difference when having a coach than just playing it with my officemates. We're also planning to one in our club. At least there'd be someone to guide us and correct our movements and the like. Thanks for sharing.

I used to play badminton when i was young and i really loved it but i don't know why i stopped playing it. I would love to start it again but i don't really have it with me anymore..
