Pakistan survived a scare from Canada.

It appears world cricket has come of age. The minnows have started performing better than what is expected of them. First Ireland defeated mighty England, not by stroke of luck but through genuine batting prowess. Now Canada restricted mighty Pakistan batting line up to paltry 184 all out in just 43 overs and threatened to overhaul their score but could not overcome Afridi, the rock. It can be said that Afridi single handedly turned the tide in their favor. Congratulations Afridi. This Pakistan team I don't think can progress much ahead because you can't expect Afridi to chip in every time.

Hi msdivkar,
Well said that the minnows are no longer minnows if we look into yesterday's match and of today. As players are there why do not they play cricket on regular basis like other teams?

It definitely was a scare. Canada had a great chance to do an Ireland and cause an upset. Pakistan was clearly rattled, but them Canada played listlessly and collapsed. They simply could not handle Boom Boom Afridi.
Cheers!

Ya,it was only the Afridi who made the match possible for the Pakistan.
If Afridi was not there ,Pakistan would have been facing these victories./
Congratulations for Afridi on his continious bowling performance.
