Whitby in cake form

This cake is the latest one my daughter has made for a friend of the family.
It is for her husband's birthday and they are spending the weekend for his birthday at their favourite place - Whitby in Yorkshire.
Whitby is a lovely Yorkshire seaside town (famous for being where Dracula was written) and the cake really captures the atmosphere of that lovely town.
Have you a favourite place that could be so well represented in a cake?

Hiya chem,
Right now I am thinking of Scarborough but I cannot think of how I would design a Cake for that maybe with a typical Steering Wheel of a Ship with an Anchor? Or a nice Seashell. Or maybe one of Scarborough Castle or the Sealife Centre what do you think?
However it´s such a lovely place and I have always wanted to go back there. Yes I think that Scarborough has plenty of scope. Maybe Chef Ramsey would come up with some great ideas too. We need him here to liven up the Restaurants that are suffering from the Anti-Smoking Syndrome.
Not forgetting your Daughter that would come up with great designs as well.
Actually I can think of so many Places like Wales, Ireland the Countries themselves are a great theme at least I think so. I told you I am not really creative in that sense.
Where have you been chem? Have missed you a lot on mylot. Nice to see you here again.

I've been away for the winter and not had any internet access!! I am SO glad to be back!!!
Scarborough would make an interesting place, sorry to here that the no smoking laws have caused problems.
There have been several pubs by us that have closed down since they were introduced!

I live in Canada and at the end of another winter. To make a cake that I would truly enjoy...ummmm, it would be a beach cake, with sand, sun, ocean, flip-flops....just a happy-looking cake. that would definitely make my b-day great.
