Cough Syrup

Cough Syrup is very essential for every body when they fell or attacked by the cough and cold. Cough syrup are very necessary when we attacked by the severe cold and cough. I alway try to keep one cough syrup for my child because he is about 3 years old and due seasonal changes any child may be attacked by cough and cold. I also try to take cough syrup when i fell cough and cold. I think is is very useful to control immediately cough and cold.

Yes, cough syrups can be very useful when you need them, but you also need to make sure that you are using the right type of cough medicine as well since cough can be classified as a dry cough or a chesty (mucus/phlegm producing) one. A cough suppressing syrup is normally recommended if a cough is dry and irritating, and an expectorant + mucolytic is normally recommended for chesty coughs. It would not be a good idea to use a cough suppressant for a chesty cough because you will be keeping the mucus in the throat and this is a perfect breeding environment for bacteria (which can lead to an infection).
