How John Lenon Died? Beatles

Hello friends,
yesterday i was watching FOX History and entertainment channel on my TV and i got to know there that John Lenon of beatles death was a murder by a mad man who just killed him for his speech. I didn't got the thing fully clearly in my mind but still i was thinking how He died. DO you know any thing about this Do share it with us.
Beatles was very hit group of 60s they were making very good music i don't what happened to them and suddenly one by one each member started leaving the group and and in last no beatles was there. john died after the Break up of beatles i think? i am i right? I don't know much about them but after watching the half completed show yesterday i am in confusion do help me?

Hi,
I suggest you watch the movie "The Killing of John Lennon". This is the story of how Mark Chapman got into killing John. If i'm not mistaken, Mark is still in prison and will remain in prison.

I was about 15 when it happened.John and Yoko had some songs on the charts at the time.A guy named Mark david Chapman went up to hom ,as if to ask for an autograph.Then he shot him.The same thng happened to a young actress a few years earlier by a stalker.Anyway,we hasd an assembly that day and the vice principal mentioned it.Kids from another school glee club sang.it was very moving.
