Balayya site Blocked!

India

Hi friends! This would be known to most Indians and mostly people from Andhra only! However others are welcome to participate! Recently we heard that a site called i hate balayya was blocked because it was causing a certain amount of restlessness among BalaKrishna and his family. It was because balayya did not like the site as it was making fun of him and posting up several pictures like the one below and most people thought it was fun. Do you think what the government did was right? If so why and if now why so? Cheers!

I do not support such type of websites making fun of a person. I do not entirely support govt in its action as they should have concentrated on more important things.

Hi raviteja, i totally don't support creating such sites since though they are celebrities they have some feelings which need not be hurt in that manner, but i don't support government to block the site even, as some part of it is quite humorous

Hi raviteja_ravi Unfortunately in India we give importance to such things but never care about the sites that really need to be banned or blocked like the ones that allow adult content. From the government's stand and also morally, I think what has happened has happened for good. I mean the freedom is there but there should be some limitations and constraints about what can be put on... it can lead to defamation of any person. But as it is a website, they did it... I wonder why they dont take any action on those who put such comments on twitter, fb etc and also the newspaper and television... I would term this action as hypocrisy and unhealthy approach for sure

Well it's already been put out of action so there's not much we can do. And also the owner was in in Sydney so there can't be anything done against him!
