I just watched this movie, and it was... just ok. The actor was great. mat damon act really great. but i dont think its worth to watch in movie theater since its not that much of actions. and from story line... its just too dreamy. so unrealistic. its like saying everything its fated, meant to be, arranged. what do you think?

Hmm... well then I might like it because I laugh at realism. It looked pretty interesting to me. I think that I will see it sometime. I might wait until it reaches the 2nd run theater so that I only have to pay a dollar. Unless my favorite critics say they like it. Then I might go see it in first run.

Do you mean romantic as in there was a romance or romantic as in there were ideals? lol

I thought the movie was excellent. I saw it over the weekend, and it was much better than I originally thought. It's one of those movies that makes you think a little bit (which is why many people, especially action junkies, may not like it). The plot was well thought out, and it never seemed like the movie was dragging on too long. The pacing was also very good. I think it's the best movie I've seen since Inception.

seriously? you compare that to inception? seriously? matt damon act was good, but the movie it self, pretty much predictable. i love inception. compare to inception, that movie is nothing. you're right though the movie never dragging too long. but its not a movie that you need your brain to think. i was disappointed because i thought its gonna be action, or atleast suspense thriller. instead, its a romance movie. a movie that basically saying everything in this world is fated, destined, well planned by god (or something powerful), and that the only way you get your free will is if you're willing to do what ever it takes to draw your own path. I'm not saying its bad... well kinda... but matt daman act really good there, so i cant say its bad. maybe if the trailer doesn't concentrate on the action, suspense part, i will like the movie more. i just dont like it when what they're sampling its not really what they're selling

I did not compare this movie to Inception. I said it's the best movie I've seen SINCE Inception. I do believe that Inception was definitely a much better movie, but The Adjustment Bureau was still very solid on its own right. I don't think it should be classified as a "romance" movie - there was romance involved in the plot, but not to the extent that it earns that labeling. There was just enough to push things along.

I would say "Interesting premise sacrificed to silly clichéd love story". The premise of mysterious strangers controlling our destiny comes from the eccentric imagination of Phillip K. D.; everything else in the movie is cookie cutter Hollywood fluff. None of the characters remotely believable either in the their everyday lives or in the nonchalant reactions to learning mind bending secrets about themselves and human destiny. The performance was lackluster, the tense scenes were boring, the love story was passionless, the fantasy elements pedestrian. Towards the end I thought we might be at least being heading toward something really outrageous, but even that turned out to be a false hope.

What they tried to make was good, but as you said it turned out to be too dreamy. The Adjustment Bureau turned out to be one of those films which are better left alone ...
