one day, i'll have the guts to ask my friend "does it make me less as a person?" she gets into my nerves sometimes.. she tells me I belong to the old generation because I like classic songs, she tells me I'm the only person who doesn't watch this hit soap on TV, she mocks me whenever I don't know the recent news about anyone or anything....Jeez! Why is it so much of a big deal to her? So what if I like classic songs? so what if I don't watch that soap opera they watch everyday? So what if I haven't heard about the latest news? Is that so much of a big deal? I'm just pissed!

everyone of us has different ideas on something as well as likes... your friend is not just into what your passion is... somehow maybe in time if your ready to talk to her just approach in a calm and have a smooth talk about it... and explain how you feel everytime she mocks you off.

hello. you are a unique person with your own likes and dislikes. is this person truly your friend. if she were, it wouldn't matter to her what you liked inspite of what she likes. be your own person always.

Don't get upset just play her a few of those classic songs. Real musical talent will span generations. She has been convinced there is only one way to do everything. Show her the diversification life really has to offer. She'll be glad you did. You will also be giving her permission to not just follow the crowd and have the freedom to do as one please. A lesson many need to learn today!!

I think you maybe you need to find a friend that has the same characteristics as you do. It's much more fun to have friends that have things in common with you. I only have one friend that's into the things I'm into such as t.v shows and certain songs and artists. Just to prevent yourself from getting angry just make a new friend that doesn't too concern with what you like.

sorry to say but this not a friendship.coz friendship doesnt mean a person needs to change for be in friendship.as friendship doesnt have any contract or agreement.i will suggest you tell her frankly that you are like this only and you dont gonna change if she wanna accept you as friend accept you the way you are real then your friendship gonna be really true.
